best way to catch air

What do you think is the best way to catch more airtime. I have tried sitting in different positions, seats, and cars. What is the best way you have found to catch some major air time.

I am sorry to anounce that mf will be closed. But if you really want experience it in the rain drive down the cause way going 90mph and stick you head out the window
The "best" ways to not put the lap bar all the way down, but the safest way is to try and stand-up when on an Airtime moment.

As already mentioned, don't get stapled, try sitting in the last row, and keep youre hands up, that always works for me.

What, are you trying to kill him! Since when is standing up on a coaster, especially in an airtime space a safe thing to do? Maybe you should go to http://members.aol.com/rides911 and take a look at some of the others that thought the same thing. They're all dead.

The best way to maximize air time is to learn the coaster you are riding.  It varies from coaster to coaster.  For example, on Roar at SFA the best air is found in back, but for Phoenix the best air is in the first car in either the 3rd row or the 1st row.

Also, most coasters give better air late in the day, and woodies run faster and give better air when the track is wet.

sit in the back, put your arms up, look straight up, pick your feet up and yell. lol

I got a good 3-4 inches between me and the lapbar on MF...and no I'm not exaggerating. I loosened my seat belt considerably, and it was possibly my best ride ever. I rode in 5-1 which is notorious for its G's. I actually stood up on the drop...kind of wish I hadn't because that took away from my airtime, but on the 3rd hill, I was floating, literally. I wasn't touching anything, except for the seat belt. I was floating between the seat and the lapbar. It was awesome!

On MF, I did the same thing CPgenius did....I left the lap bar 4 inches loose (NO JOKE) and I had the seat belt loosened all the way.  The ride had some of the most amazing air I have ever experienced!  Out of the 5 times I rode, I rode like this 4 times.

Getting back on topic...do the easiest thing!  Leave the bar loose!

Not exactly stand-up, but just try to lift your butt up aout an inch, and let the ride do the rest.
Ahh, ok. :) Sorry about my exploding above. Just with rider abuse being the number one cause of injury, you know.

Sorry about the misunderstanding!

On Ultra Twister at SFAW, The shoulder harness was weird and did'nt lock at all. The only thing holding me in was the rope. On the drop I was leaning so far forward and on the bunny hill after that I flew out of my seat and did'nt touch the seat for about 5 seconds. The barrel rolls were not too fun though.
Keep the lap bar and seat belt somewhat loose, put your hands up and lift your feet off the floor--awesome air!
