Best time to Ride Viper at SFMM

The best ride that you would get on Viper at SFMM is at night it smooother during the day faster.

SO GO ON IT AT NIGHT
Yeah definately get on it as your last ride. Never a line. Why even last time I went, it was high noon and still no line. Maybe because it was a Tuesday:)

No because there is no other ride in that area, plus i lot of people think Viper is scray...
Anytime you ride Viper is a great time:)
Can't wait to ride it in December. I hope Viper isn't like Shockwave at SFGAm, being rough and no fun.

Best time to ride Viper? While everyone else is riding Goliath. ;)

I'd like a tall CCI out and back, and a grande nonfat Latte to go please!
StealthmF5m3:I like Shockwave, and i even noticed it being smoother the last couple of visits, i guess i caught it on a good day...

"Thank you for challenging the Raging Bull-We hope you enjoy the rest of you're day, here at Six Flags Great America"
I rode it first thing, and there was no line. When I walked past it later in the day, the line was long, and when I rode it again near the end of the day, I nearly walked on to the first row, so at the beginning or at the end of the day. I think it was better at night.

Red Wings Suck!!!
Viper in the morning has a long line as does Reveloution. Viper will be smooth if you are not real small, I was 5'11 when I last rode it and my head easily got over the OTSR, if you head gets over you'll just have your shoulders tapped, its an awesome ride that is braked just right!

Steel top 5

2.Stelth
3.B:TR
4. Riddler's Revenge
5. Goliath
Viper will be SUPER busy when X opens though, and then the other side of the park wont be as busy...Deja Vu will attract people to take the walk up to Superman and X, leaving Batman, Colossus, and maybe Goliath and Riddlers wide open..
Hey apollo 15: If you get this could you please explain to me what in the hell you said at the top of this thread?

viper at the end of the day no lines
As a general observation, when the park opens you have 2 choices. Goliath to the right, or Viper and Revolution to the left. Most people head straight for Goliath. Others think they are coy, and head in the opposite direction to Viper. Unfortunatley, TOO MANY others do this. NOBODY passes up the queue for Goliath or Viper. So PASS it up. If you go to the back of the park you can hit BATMAN & RIDDLER and walk right on. Go back to Goliath and Viper at the end of the day. If you get through Batman and riddler quick enough, huff it up the hill to Superman and Ninja.

My other car is a Giovanola!
Loaded G you have a good point. Riddler and Batman are always my first rides of the day, the lines for these two quickly become the most annoying in the park. The lines for Viper and Goliath move fairly quickly. That strategy will change soon though. Once X opens, I would suggest X, then Viper, then around to Deja Vu and so forth. Of course everyone else will do this as well, so the alternitive would be to hit Goliath first.

Everytime I have been to SFMM, Viper is a walk-on. No trouble...Personally, it never did much for me with the exception of the back seat and the great pullover...

;)Rollercoasters are like parrots...if you take care of them, they should outlive you;)

How the fu** do you guys black-out or start to black-out on these rides? WTF, I was 8 and rode Viper @ SFMM in the back seat without seeing any black, or any gray for that matter. When I rode Goliath in the backseat, I didn't black out or even start to see gray. How does this happen to you guys? I love these positive G's, especially in the helix of Goliath, (Thus my name G-lix= G-filled helix!) and I don't understand how you can't stand 3 or 4 g's for a few seconds! And I always considered myself a-not-to-strong person! At least your not complaining about the VERY minute-headbanging (which to me gives the ride character:) and doesn't bother me at all!). Can someone please explain this?

Anyways, back, on topic, the best time to ride Viper is an hour before closing. No lines, its smoother, and if you go on it during Fright Fest, they turn off the track lights! Very fun. But as Riddler0731 said it best, "Anytime you ride Viper is a great time :)"

Mr. Crap Caca is my name-o, C-r-a-p, C-a-c-a, Mr. Crap Caca. Just ask SFMM Salvi and his 3-year old cousin! :) Thanx for the cool name SFMM_fa_life! *** This post was edited by Mr. G-lix on 8/8/2001. ***
