I am a speed and G-force fanatic. So I ride in the far back of rollercoasters. Especially with Magnum and Raptor. I was wondering where you all like to sit.
For any of you that always sit in the front. Try the back!!!! You'll never look at the ride the same again.

I can appreciate about any seat on most rides for different reasons. On rides where the drops are the most important parts, I like the back, because you get pulled over the edges of drops. On an inverted, the VERY front is amazing! On looping rides, I tend to prefer the middle. Montezooma's revenge is the only ride I know where each seat is outstanding, and for completely different reasons!
It realy depends on the ride. Some rides are better in the back. Some are better in the front. With some coasters, it does not realy matter.

For me it depends on the coaster. It has to be the front or last seat. Most coasters I prefer the front. For the most part I ride each coaster at least twice so I can see the difference. I hate it when a park is busy and makes you fill in the middle.
Any coaster feels like you have more acceleration in the back. So many just like the feel of coasters. I prefer the feel, yet the view also. For instance, on SROS I wait for frontseat all the time, cause the drop is so incredibly steep, and you still get airtime. Many people like the back of hypers and gigas. I don't understand that. You still get G's and speed in the front and the bonus is the view. On other coasters, like Boomerangs and SLC's, I go for the back cause the front doesn't offer that good a view.
I don't like hypers in the front, because they rip up your face. Then again all the times I've rode a hyper in the front it's been in the rain, so that must have effected it.

What is life without SFA?
I rode MF in the mid-front, and the first car, and I loved the first car..it was amazing how much wind whips you in the face and body. However, when I rode the SFDL superman this summer, I rode in the back, and that drop was absolutely amazing in the back...it made me really wish I'd ridden the Force in the back...I'll definitely do that if I get out to CP this year.
Usually, I like the front, especially on inverteds, but the back seat on Fire Dragon was pretty darn amazing!

I really like sitting in the front on rides like Millennium Force or Magnum. On Inverts and all the other kinds of loopie coasters I usually try to get the back seat.

Hamburgers are only Hamburgers when people choose to call them Hamburgers.
It changes based on each coaster. My favorite front seat coasters are Raptor, Alpengiest, the Beast, PKI's Top Gun and Mantis. My fave back seat rides are Apollo's Chariot, Magnum, Screechin' Eagle, PKI's Vortex and King Cobra.
I just want to say first off Robodud is a loser for saying that, but I'm only saying that cuz he is in my class. But the best place on the Y2K Coaster, THE FORCE, would have to be in the back to see the full hill without seeing the track and expirience the 90 mile an hour speeds. But the front isn't bad either. I've had my chances to sit in the front twice and I only took one of them but I wouldn't pass it iup again.
For some of you that don't know what "The Force" is, its the Millenium Force at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio.
I thought the Force is what the Jedi's used? I have used the Force 11 times ;)
I like speed, so I generally go for the back. Getting whiped over the hills is the best.
On Face/Off, I like to sit on the end seat facing Congo Falls. It's cool to see the track twist and turn right above your head. For Flight of Fear, it has to be the very front seat during the launch. On any other coaster, it doesn't matter where I sit.

I think the back is best on most steel coasters and all hyper+ coasters. For stand-ups and inverteds I'd like to have the front but it doesn't really matter much. For woodies it depends -- back usually, unless it's the SoB or Beast because the back is far too painful. As for Mean Streak, I could sleep in any of those seats on that ride...the slow, gentle rocking motion and the repetitive sounds of the train as it crawls along the course are just perfect. (OK, I had to get in a MS put-down.) ;) But if any seat except those on hypers and gigas is ever a walk-on, I take that one.
The front on inverts and the back on sitdowns.:)
