I am not an expert on this but I would think it varies on each coaster. I'm one of the CP Fanatics like Jeff could tell you though :)

General rules for selecting a seat:
Best view, best awareness of speed: Front
Most G's, airtime: Back

back car of magnum is the best,and as for the raptor the front is .
the best seat for the magnum is definatly the ejector seat witch you get incredible airtime thats why they call it the ejector. As for the raptor anything in the bcak row is incredible, you leave the ride completely disstorted!
its always fun to ride each coaster twice, once in the front seat and then in the back seat. riding in the front seat gives you the feeling of being pushed by the train while riding in the back gives you the feeling of beijnjg pulled. Also the back always feels like there is one more G force.
