Best of 2005

Of the 2005 crop that I'll get to actually RIDE, there are two woodies in Wisconsin, one of them which looks absolutely *delicious*...that's the one I'm salivating over...:)

I'll also get SheiKra no doubt, and probably Hydra and Silver Bullet, but those are all STEEL coasters....fun, but I'm not expecting as much as I am from Hades, that's for SURE...

My vote goes to Powder Keg... I love launched rides.

The Ozark Wildcat, voted #26 wood coaster, the higest rated new wooden coaster since 2001.
ROYALS!!!

Out of the 3 new steel coasters I will definitely get to ride next year (Kingda Ka, Hydra and Turbulence), I have to put my money on ‘Da King’. Sheikra looks impressive, but im not gonna even salivate about it until I have my plane ticket to Tampa. Since Tsunami opened so late this year, Im considering that as ‘new’ for ’05. Cant wait to get on it 2.

You won't see me coming...

Get in line, buddy! I've wanted to ride N:TOP a lot longer than you have

Haven't we all? ;-)

The coaster I am looking forward to the most is obviously Kingda Ka, but I am looking forward to all of them. Hydra is looking pretty damn sweet. :-P

Hades......mmmmmmm. Bring it on!

Looks like Silver Bullet will be my first, though. ;-)

Is anyone here excited about Italian Job: Stunt Track at PKI and PCW. I am, it looks like it's going to be a great ride, no Sheikra or Hydra, but it' still up there.

^^ Tina, that's no fair, 'cause you've already cheated...... in a way, anyways. ;)

At least you know what I mean. LOL!

I spose I'm out of the loop.

There are a lot of new rides that look to be fun, although I will probably only get to ride the new one at PKI. I'm also looking forward to there being a water park at six flags in Chicago, although mainly just for the shorter line factor.

Down is the new up.
Still waiting and wondering-- and wishin' and hopin' and all the Dusty Springfield stuff-- what Knoebel's will be putting in the spot where Whirlwind is now...

Tina waited in queue for N:TOP for a LONG time.....then the stupid thing broke down, LOL...

Wait, wrong thread, I was thinking of the "never got to ride" thread....sorry...;)

RatherGoodBear - word has Whirlwind's replacement won't come until 2006.

I'm pretty excited about Hades. KingdaKa looks great too. I'm sure the B&M's will be good and I'm interested to see how much air PowderKeg has. Basically I'm looking forward to all of them except Italian Job which I fear will be lame. I could be wrong, but it looks like an over-themed kiddie ride.

Right now, my vote goes to Hades.

Makes sense, Mamoosh. Let Dorney and Hershey get the attention for 2005 with Hydra and Turbulence, and Hershey again in 2007 with its 100th. Not to mention the time the whole process will take removing the old and planning/designing/constructing the new.

We can't expect to have it all in one year, can we?

It should be interesting to see what S&S/Arrow is able to do with PowderKeg. Will they be able to make a coaster that doesn't break down every time I get to PKD, or that will tear my head off? However, Hydra is on my list for next year with out a doubt, as well as going to Hershey.

Now, when do the parks open again.....?? *** Edited 11/27/2004 3:00:10 PM UTC by Coaster Art Guy***
