We know no one like Mean Strek but, what is better Ghostrider or Shivering Timbers??
Todd
There is something Magical happining at this mountain!
SFMM 2K1!
Shivering Timbers isn't Cedar Fair, so Ghostrider would be the best Cedar Fair woodie. But, the best woodie between the two of them would be Shivering Timbers.

Ghostrider is the only CF woodie I can get excited about, and they aren't really responsible for its installation.

Isn't Michigan's Adventure in the Cedar Fair stable?

Nope. Cedar Point, Dorney, Valleyfair, World's of Fun, and Knott's. There's also some other things, like a few water parks. One in LA, I believe. Anyone care to help me out? Missing anything?
I remember hearing somewhere that Cedar Fair didn't want to go through with Ghostrider when they bought the park...

GhostRider, no contest!

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
Without riding Ghostrider I'd have to say thats gotta be the best since most people rave over it. The worst has to be Hercules it's alot rougher than Mean Squeak. mean Streak is just rough on your ears.

what about Blue Streak (before it was "modernized") Mean Streak is tight with me.

Number 1 And Only Cedar Point
Let us not forget that Cedar Fair manages Camp Snoopy in the Mall of America. I dig High Roller in Valleyfair.

You build it, I'll ride it
Ghostrider has to be the best woodie in the Cedar Fair stable today. I would give a second to the Blue Streak if they hadn't of messed it up with the new trains. In the "good old days" on a hot night after a rain those trains would really fly. Almost always mega air time.
OK, here are the current Cedar Fair properties- Cedar Point,Valleyfair,Dorney Park,Worlds of Fun, Knotts Berry Farm,Knotts Soak City (Chula Vista,CA), and the operating contract for Camp Snoopy at the Mall of America. There are adjoining water parks with most of the ride parks.
To all the Cedar Fair peeps out there, you have to admit that Six Flags has Cedar Fair beat in this category although probably the crown for best woodies goes to the privately owned parks.

Well, I understand the 'Cyclone' that was at CP years ago was pretty awesome.
Well Obiosuly a POINT has been made that Cedar fair really has no good woodies except for one, which was not thought up by them. Cedar Point, SFMM, and , IOA [probibly the best parks in USA] Do not eithier have, or the woodies they do have are not any better than average. Werid how they are the best but do not have a woodie!

Timber Wolf at WoF is an excellent woodie, and does quite well in coaster polls, if that matters.

Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.
I think Cedar Fair also owns the snoopy thing at the mall of america if i recall.

Disaster Transport is exactly that - a disaster of a ride. - KMAN
Did I hear something about Cedar Fair owning a park overseas?

Cedar Fair only manages the camp in the mall.

I would have to add to the Timber Wolf. But have not ventured to ride many wood coasters but of the few I have been on it is still #1. But it does consistantly show up in the polls every year.
But once again Cedar Fair is not responsible for its creation either. Cedar Fair Hasn't built a woodie since the mean streak if i am correct. I think they should get a contract with CCI to build wood coasters in all there parks next year. But You know I think we will see another screw job and CP will get three new coasters while the other CF parks will have to wait out the great coaster war. Dorney Park count your blessings that the Mountain waited until december or I think CP would be getting a B&M of some sort and you would be getting the shaft.

#1 Steel-Incredible Hulk
#1 Wood--Timber Wolf
I haven't been to any CF parks except the Point, and quite frankly, Blue Streak kicks some nice butt. I never rode it before the headrests and individual bars, but even with them it is a pretty good ride. I am sure Ghostrider blows it away though. And then there is that hunk of wood known as Mean Streak.......
the only cedar fair park I've been to is cedar point, since the mean streak is out of the question,my vote goes for the blue streak.i think the blue streak was a better ride before the new restraints were introduced, but it is still a great woodie.
