It all depends where you're staying, but.....
In the Midlands:
Do not miss Alton Towers!!
Drayton has the only stand up Intamin drop, and Europes only stand up coaster-its the only stand up coaster with an inline twist to.
American Adventure, has a boomerang and a double looper.
In the North:
Blackpool has more rides than any other UK park:The big one, 3 woodies, the avalanche, Valhalla, revolution, and loads more
Flamingoland has 2 classic Schwarzkopfs-Triple Looper and Wiener Looping, a shuttle loop in a knot. There's a Vekoma corkscrew (but there's one of those at Alton to!)
Lightwater Valley has the (now 2nd) longest costaer in the world, at 1.5 miles it takes 5mins 30 secs to complete the course, thats worth a visit!!
Flamingoland and Lightwater are only about 1/2 hr drive apart from each other, and they're quite cheap, its easy to do them both in one day!) Southport has a classic woodie, and a Vekoma SLC, American Adventure has a Boomerang, and a double looper.
In the South:
Chessington has the Vampire, an arrow swinger, but its closed for the 2001 season.
Thorpe park hasn't much in the way of coasters....yet. there's the 10 looper coming for next year though!!
In Wales:
Oakwood, Megafobia, new generation woodie.
In the east:
Fantasy Island has a large custom Vekoma looper, and will have a mega inverter next year.
Pleasure Island only really has a boomerang.
I recommend Blackpool, Alton, either Flamingoland or Drayton.
Let us know how you get on!!
