Surfs up in Hollister, CA! Later Dudes...
Hollister,
Mantis at Cedar Point was origonally going to be called Banshee but the name was changed.
There are so many.......but two of my favorites are Xcelerator, Riddler's Revenge. The SOB has a pretty cool logo too.

The reason Banshee was changed is because it means "wailing female spirit warning upon impending death."
Well, not really.
Yes, Banshee does mean 'a wailing spirit' but the real reason it was changed was because Richard Kinzel didn't like it.
Steel would have to Be Speed: The Ride, Goliath at SFMM Common! and Xcelerators is pretty sweet also

kraxleridah, if you know what the new logo for Orient Express looked like I think you'd change your mind. Unfortunately, I'm having a heck of a time finding a pic of it.-----------------

Ohhh. I had no idea they changed it. Can someone post the logo image if they find one on the net? Thanks! (But you have to admit the old one was ugly)

Säubern Sie mit Milch?
Millennium Force. So simple, but so awesome!! Although I might like it so much because I love the coaster so much.
There's so many good logos out there it's so hard to decide. I would love to see some of the logos that were drawn but not actually decided for the final and official logo.

Six Flags, the only chain of parks that can manage to have stacking with a one train operation.
I think Medusa's logo with the snakes and the train on them is pretty impressive. Dueling Dragon's logo is nice with the writing and the dragon's heads next to
each other.

Apologies if you think this thread should have stayed on page two, but I haven't been able to post for a while, and you don't have to read it.
I saw it mentioned, but I just wanted to emphasize Shock Wave at SFGAm. Hate the ride if you will, but I just loved that logo, especially in the form of its 3-d sign out front. It conveyed power and fear in a truly sleek form. If anyone from Six Flags reads this, please do not re-name this coaster in its new home!
