Bert is pretty funny. I was cracking up watching his reactions riding MaxAir and Thunderhawk on the Cedar Point show. Not to mention his reaction/horror on the Dragster rollback.

The episode featuring SFNE will air on August 4th at 10pm and here is the rest of the schedule.
7/14/10 - Florida
7/20/10 - Phoenix
7/21/10 - Wisconsin
7/28/10 - Texas
8/4/10 - Massachusetts
8/11/10 - South Carolina

He kind of screams like a girl at times. ;) It's hilarious. I kind of dig the show though! ...though the catfish wrangling one was just odd. Didn't Mike Rowe do that on Dirty Jobs one time?

I hate people. But I love gatherings. Isn't it ironic?

Just a heads up for the fans out there. There will be a Season 2 for Bert the Conqueror. Besides Bert, I know the Field Producer Lani Neumann will be back. She's been promoted to Field Director. When there is more info to share, I will let you know.

Kind of? ;)
It's a decent enough show, but you can always count on his screaming for dear life on even some moderate rides, which gets...distracting, to say the least.

Or maybe I'm just jealous he's got my dream job. :)

He's very enthusiastic to say the least. Until he started doing this show. He hadn't ridden a coaster before. So, his reactions are genuine for the most part. It's also a TV show. So, the point was to be a bit over the top. The producers didn't want it to be like all the other coaster shows where you have a coaster nerd riding telling you about the ride as it's happening. You'd be rolling on the floor laughing if you saw all the stuff that didn't make it into the episodes.

If Bert really wanted my "extreme" reactions to I-232, he should have showed for the ERT session with the trims OFF....those laps got wayyyy more reaction than any of the rides I got during the filming... ;)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

A little heads up for you guys. The new Bert the Conqueror season starts tonight with two episodes (8pm Travel Channel). Episode one Bert takes on Boulder Dash and New England and in episode two Bert conquers Dominion and Intimidator 305 and Busch Gardens.

I've been on 2 tapings with Bert-the one at CP (on one of the worst weather days EVER) and the one at IOA this past December. I got an awesome picture with him!

He really is a very sweet and funny as hell guy. The DJs on one of the Orlando radio stations went on and on about how funny his stand up is.

Bert was a guest on that station and I was in tears by the time I got to work! :)

Bert is coming to Santa Claus for a two-day shoot. We thought it would be fun to conduct online "auditions" for the extras (rather than the tradition cattle call). If you're interested, please take a look here for more information.

Looking forward to it! :)

So will my family.

Paula, my only concern is that with the Voyage being so intense the average GP will have trouble with more then just a few laps.

Before you can be older and wiser you first have to be young and stupid.

Well, that's why there's a call for riders from the enthusiast circles.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Not Canobie Lake. But Cannonball isn't intense either. Canobie Lake fan and I were the only 2 enthusiasts there. And I didn't ride during the shoot because I was already in the CP episode.

I'm still not convinced James exists even with video evidence...but that was the only show that didn't have a bunch of geeks show up.
