Beijing wants Disney park, company denies it has any such plans

Beijing is reserving a place to build a Disneyland, a newspaper said Tuesday, in the latest salvo of an ongoing duel between China's capital and Shanghai to attract the nation's first world-class theme park. Disney says they have no such plans for a new park.

People all over Hong Kong are praying this is indeed true...They want Chinese tourists to line cut and pee in bushes in the mainland and leave their park alone!

If they want a clone park so badly, why not just build and Islands of Adventure knock-off? I mean really, what's so amazing about HKDL? The hotel, the landscaping, the theming are about it - the attractions themselves are not in particular that special in scale, except for Jungle Cruise.

The Dodge the Tank total participation Thrill Show in 4D! How many flowers does it take to stop a moving tank?
