I think its a coaster but then again I think 1st generation freefalls are coasters too.
The record SD2K claims is the tallest full circuit coaster.

Of course I also remember Shockwave ads that suggested SW went over 100mph...

2Hostyl, The Only reason I would think that The Edge (if it wasn't Mr Hyde's Nasty Fall now) is a Coaster is that if S:TE is defined as a coaster a 1st generation freefall is clearly a coaster also. Of course I really don't even belive this. But is a rocket sled really a coaster? I guess we go by what the manufacturer says.

No it wasn't According to RCDB Magnum is 72 MPH and and Bandit is 68.3 MPH. So Magnum is faster.
Sawblade, I said tallest and longest, not fastest.

Gemeni was never the tallest coaster in the world.
1977- Montezooma's Revenge at 148 feet tall
White Lightnin' at 137 feet tall
Tidal Wave at 137 feet tall
King Kobra at 137 feet tall
Greased Lightnin' at 137 feet tall
1978-Lochness Monster at 130 feet tall

Here we go again. All these height records are the tallest full circuit coaster which is why SD2k claims to be the tallest coaster in the world.

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)
Oh lord you are not serious are you?
If Magnum is sinking then so is the rest of Cedar Point. It's built on bedrock for crying out loud.
Come to think of it the Pennisula is probably sinking. OH GOD NO IT WILL BE GONE IN 5000 YEARS!!!!

Magnum isn't even 205, lol. It's 200, and the drop is only about 196ish. I guess you could consider any coaster like that over 200ft a hyper no matter the drop then, eh?-----------------
Top 5:
5)Raptor 4) Goliath 3) Ghostrider 2) Sros @Sfdl 1) Millennium Force

To be even pickier than you, it's actually 201' tall, with a 196' drop.
Cedar Point somehow decided along the timeline that giving the ride's stats an extra 4' would go by unnoticed. Not to me it didn't.

First things first. Gemini opened in 1978. And that year, the Magic Mountain Colossus also opened with a height of 125'. So both were tied for height.

I'm not saying you're wrong. I only know the same stats as everyone else (205' with a 194 drop), but...
Your stats mean that the track at the bottom of the drop would be 5 feet off the ground while the stats that most go by would mean the same track would be 10 or 11 feet above the ground.
Does anyone have a pic of that section of the ride?

From those picture you can say that the bottom of the first drop is roughly the same height of the ground as the final three bunny hops.
So take a look at these then and tell me how far of the ground do these bunny hop look"

Just for reference regarding Gemini: http://www.webtechnik.com/ebony/images/cpflyerms.jpg
BTW, Vertigo, if you want to get picky, all but one of your coasters are shuttle loops, not full circuit, except for Loch Ness Monster. And Tidal Wave and Greased Lightnin are the same coaster. Apparently there was a makeover of Tidal Wave in the 90's and the name was changed.
