Been on the $130 tour at IOA?

I'm planning a trip to IOA and was wondering if the private, EXPENSIVE tour is worth it. I know it is a no wait, total ride coverage day, but is it neccessary?

Bassically, can the dragons, hulk, spiderman, dudley do-wright falls, etc. all be ridden comfortably in one day.
I'm not familiar with the high price tour; but we rode most everything in one day, though it was a long one.
Depends when you go to the park. If you go off-season you have no wait at almost any ride. If you go in-season the waits can be long for Spiderman and Incredible Hulk. Dueling Dragons rarely gets too long. I wouldn't pay that kind of money for the no wait deal.
I would pay that money for a tour like that!

Current Favorite Coasters:
1)Raging Bull 2)Millennium Force 3)Medusa (SFMW) 4)Vertical Velocity (SFGAm) 5)Dueling Dragons (Ice)
unless they took you behind the scenes and showed you some cool stuff that nobody else could possibly see, i wouldn't pay that much for no wait ride times.

Doesn't paying $ 130 Diminishes your season pass or the genral addmission tickets? LOL
I don't get it... at sflags people complain and even filed a lawsuit for a $ 10 fastpass yet at IOA you pay $ 130 and people praise it...
or do I have it wrong?

I am pretty sure that this is a behind the scenes tour. You get to see how a ride works, then you get to jump right on to experience it. I believe I heard they give you a meal with this price too.

"Looks like you've been missing quite a bit of work lately"
"Well, I wouldn't say I've been MISSING it, Bob."
if you are staying at an on-site hotel then I would not do that because you don't have to wait anyways.

Here is the difference between the problem with IOA and SFWOA. WHen you bought your season pass for IOA you knew about the $130 tour. However, when you bought your season pass for SFWoA, there was no mention of the fastlane upcharge policy. SFWoA should have mentioned that this program was going to be used when people purchased their season passes. Instead, they sold all their passes and once the passes were sold then SFWoA said, "oh By the way, were introducing this new ticket program so you can skip the lines. Don't worry, we'll make sure that there will be lines, even if we have to run the rides below capacity."
Pointman

Didn't SFWOA institute this fastpass in the middle of the season? I got my season pass in Early may...Maybe 6flags were considering it at the time .
but paying extra for ERT.. is paying extra for ERT.

Uhhh... I don't quite get what your saying here. What about ERT? WHere was ERT mentioned? I thought we were talking about fastlane. Did SFWoA have fastlane when you bought your season pass? Did they announce that they would have fastlane when you bought your season pass? At least when people bought season passes for IOA, they were informed of the $130 tour, SFWoA season pass holders weren't informed of the coming change.
Well if you read your SF SP it states in it for the year 2001: your season pass is good for all rides and attractions except games, arcades and certain rides and attractions which MAY require additional charges. As I understand to get to the front of the line you pay extra, which means you MAY require additional charges to get to the front or you dont have to pay and stay in the regular line.

ok.. maybe Ert wasn't the best description here....But what I mean your paying either way to get ahead of the line..whether $10 or $ 130

Supermandl, if your implying that I didn't read my season pass, then I'm implying that you are rude. The problem which I keep repeating and you keep ignoring is the SFWoA used unfair guerilla marketing tactics to sell the season passes by not disclosing that Fast Lane would be used in a timely manner. If SFWoA had disclosed the existance of Fast Lane, then it wouldn't be the big problem that it is. My point has always been that the problem with Fast Lane is the fact that it was brought in midseason. Next year, season pass holders can't complain about how unfair Fast Lane is at SFWoA, because it's been disclosed. What if the only way to ride in the front and back seat of any ride was to buy Fast Lane, would you still think that the unannounced midseason change was fair then?

Pointman where do you get they use guerilla tactics selling these passes, your pass is for getting into park not for any of the extra perks through the park as stated in the pass. Where does it say they must disclose to you what there plans where. How do we know that after the season started they took a poll of their customer's and decided then to intoduce this program then.
Now explain where this effects your season pass your pass is only for getting into park. Please show me on the SP where it says because you have this pass your entitled to know ahead of time there new programs. Would this be diffrent if they introduced in the middle of the season free ride from 9-11pm for season pass holder's would you be complaing that they intoduced that during the season. Or how about I paid for my seasonpass's (4) to CP in May yet ive not been yet(family problems) but now in the middle of the season they reduce the season pass to $49 is that right they never said in the off season they would do this should I sue them.
