Beech Bend...Sunday!

Is anyone going to Beech Bend on Sunday? I really want to get down there for KR, and since were within 100 miles of it at HW I thought I'd ask. It would be much more fun with more people going, (but before I get too excited I should run this one past the wife).

I know it was mentioned earlier on in the Holiwood Nights discussions, but hadn't heard much since.

I have a feeling you'll be there with a lot of people since that is the day of Rumblefest.

Thanks, Danny. My link isn't working for some reason.
For some reason it's inserting the CoasterBuzz site address first. I've seen this happen before different places but now sure how it occurs or how to get by it. Anyone?
Yes, the wife allowed me to register us and attend. I'll be sporting my Coasterbuzz T. Be sure to say hello.

I'm guessing it will probably be one of Beech Bend's busier days.

I like to ride woodies.

I'll be there as well, most likely hanging out with the GCII crew.
The sad news is for me I work for a car dealership and they do not understand how much rollercoasters help me sell vehicles. Therefore being at HW will probably be a Saturday Night trip. Most likely I will be at Beech Bend Sunday but my biggest concern is that if everyone at HW goes to BB, ride time will not be very good.
The high note for me is I've already been on Kentucky Rumbler. Has anyone heard how many is going to BB? *** Edited 5/25/2006 6:05:41 AM UTC by wes jorden***
I have also signed up for Rumblefest. I think what we are going to have here is a convoy from Holiday World to Beech Bend. (cue that song about convoys)

But I do wonder if Beech Bend is going to be ready to handle the multitude of people that are about to pull up in their driveway. I think they will be, I find it to be no coincidence that they scheduled their event for the day after Holliwood Nights.

Oh, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky is looking forward to all the road tolls it is going to collect on that nice toll road they installed that practically runs directly from one park to the other.

Fot those wondering...The total toll for a passenger car is listed at $1.50.

"Heavily medicated for your safety!"

GAH! That settles it. No Beech Bend for me.
Thanks for that link, Brad. That's a cheap toll, but it's still good to plan ahead.

(I won't be there on Sunday, though, I'll be checking Beech Bend outduring the day on Saturday)

"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."

Is this BB first coaster event? Do they understand what they're getting into?

I'm gonna be there, but I am a novice Coaster Club dude originally from Idaho where coasters are few and far between. Though I loved 'em, they were hard to come by.

That answered my question about you and Chris being there. Look forward to seeing you guys.

Dan - will you guys be at HW as well?
I'll be at Holliwood Nights on the 26th, but I can't make it on the 27th due to I am going to a concert in Indianapolis lol.

gotta love schedule conflicts.

I live in Owensboro ( that toll map shows it, where the Natcher starts ).

I'll be thinking of how many people driving through my home city heading to BB from HW lol.

The toll is $1.50??? Geez. This trip is getting mighty expensive.

Shows how different things can be in another part of the country. To use any of the Hudson crossings into NYC, it costs $9.00. Bridge or tunnel, take your pick.

Moosh, I think we are going to hit Holiday World on Monday instead, Indiania Beach Tuesday, Michigan Adventure Wendsday, Cedar Point late Thursday and all day Friday, Saturday is still up in the air.
