Beech Bend's RUMBLEFEST 2006 Event Flyer Now Available!
I thought I would share this with everyone. Earlier today I received the official details, itinerary and registration form for RUMBLEFEST 2006, the new coaster-riding event that is being hosted by Beech Bend Park and Splash Lagoon in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The event flyer and registration form are now available on the ACE Midwest Region's website, www.acemidwest.org (look for the RUMBLEFEST banner).
RUMBLEFEST 2006 will be held on Sunday, May 28th, and will celebrate the opening of The Kentucky Rumbler, Beech Bend's first wooden roller coaster (build by Great Coasters International). Here are some of the event details:
The event takes place on Sunday, May 28th from 10:00 am until midnight (all times CDT). The event includes all-day admission to Beech Bend and their water park, Splash Lagoon. Your registration fee will include unlimited rides, miniature golf, a buffet meal, and a really nice ERT (Extended Ride Time) session.
The buffet meal will include hickory smoked barbeque chicken, hot dogs, baked beans, cole slaw, corn on the cob, fresh baked brownies, and "the best banana pudding you've ever eaten". The meal will be served around 6:30 pm that evening. After dinner, Jeff Pike and Chris Gray of GCI will be on hand to answer questions. Representatives from Beech Bend will also be on hand, and door prizes will be awarded.
ERT will be on The Kentucky Rumbler from 7:30 pm until midnight (4 1/2 hours!) There will also be ERT on the Wild Mouse Spinning Coaster and the Looping Star from 7:30 pm until 9:00 pm.
Registration fee for everything mentioned is a low $20 per person. You must be a card-carrying member of a roller coaster club (or a paying guest of a registered member), and you must bring your membership card with you when you check in at the park. You will also need to bring some form of ID with you, as well.
Event T-shirts are available, provided you pre-order one on your registration form and mail the form so that Beech Bend receives it by May 14th. Cost of the shirts is an additional $14. If you register for RUMBLEFEST after the May 8th deadline, you will need to register on-site the day of the event, and registration fee will cost an additional $10.
The timing of RUMBLEFEST coincides with Holiday World's HoliWood Nights event, which will take place the two days before RUMBLEFEST. Make it a full weekend and take in both events!

Holy Hell thats a lot of ERT! What an awesome way to end the weekend.
I think May 26, 27, and 28 are penciled down in a lot of peoples plans. Am I wrong?
