Beech Bend to add coaster in 2005, too!

They're adding a Zamperla Spinning Mouse next year ;)

mOOSH....you got a source for that, not even Duane knows about it yet, LOL...

*Grumble*....insider info...;)

Of course I have a source! ;)
Has Zamperla built any spinning mouse coasters anywhere else? I searched RCDB and didn't come up with anything, but maybe I overlooked any they've built.

There was a custom spinning mouse in Europe that I thought looked good, but I've forgotten its name and if it was a Zamperla. Someone help a bruthah out?

Damnit.......ANOTHER park to revisit next year! ;-)

Beech Bend is actually a very cool little park.......not much to look at and the coasters are bleh but they have an AWESOME collection of flats! :-P

The park reminds me a lot of Lakemont or Williams Grove.......a carnival that never left. ;-)

I am still comtemplating on whether I want to do the SCAT2 or not.......:-) It was closed down for the evening the one and only time I was there.

Tina...Scat 2 is insane! I thought the ride op was never going to stop it. It ranks 2nd only to Catwoman's Whip at SFNO for "rides that came closest to making me hurl in '04" (hmm...should I start a new topic on that?).

If you like your flats to make you feel like you took a detour to the Jim Beam plant on the way to BB, then it's the ride for you. Good times.

I rarely, if ever get sick on any ride. I was worried about the pain. lol.

It just looked.......sick, like a sadistic torture device, sorta like the Fly-O-Plane or Kamikaze, or even a Round-Up. lol.

But, I will probably try it just for the heck of it.

This was actually discussed a couple of weeks ago in this thread. It seems Zamperla now has a license to manufacture and sell Reverchon rides. The Zamperla ad that has been running in Amusement Today only shows the Reverchon spinning mouse, though. I'm curious to see if they will also offer the Reverchon glide (inverted mouse) coaster.

Back on topic, it sounds like I may have to check out Beech Bend in the near future. Can't wait to see what the GCI is like!

No license, none of these profits go to Reverchon.

Adam

If there is no license, do you happen to know what the arrangement is?

Beech Bend was a nice little detour on the way to Holiday World last year. It definitely needs a ride like this though. Their two current coasters left something to be desired.

SCAT 2, however, is without a doubt the craziest ride i have ever been on. Ive never felt forces on a ride like that, it was actually kind of painful. That many G's pushing you against a metal grate, kinda sounds like a torture device.

As an unofficial member of the "Spin and Barf" club, I definitely need to make it down to Beech Bend for SCAT 2. The spinny mouse just adds extra incentive.

Krypton: How long did it take you to get from Holiday world to Beech Bend?

I will be sure and take some painkillers before trying SCAT2. ;-)

ChickN, (I think I forgot your first name again, sorry....lol) you will love Beech Bend! It's worth the trip if you are anywhere near Bowling Green.

Reverse engineering. Zamperla has a good sales force and US presence while Reverchon is floundering, so parks wanting the Reverchon spinner are buying from Zamperla.

I'm not much on spinning FLATS, but I love these new spinning coasters.....bring 'em on!

"Zamperla has a good sales force", Adam? Got anyone in particular in mind...;)

John, I was with Krypton (good to see you're still reading CBuzz, Chris) that day, and I think it was about 2.5 - 3hrs from BB to HW. Don't quote me though, I know it took 6.5hrs from ATL to HW though.

I will agree with everything said - SCAT 2 is OOC!!
