Beech Bend Coaster: What name did you enter?

Yes, MadDog. Jeff Pike (my sweet baboo ;) graduated from UofL with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was the mascot.

I'm pretty sure he'd veto anything having to do with UK! lol

"This coaster will beech your ash"....nice subtitle, LOL, but obviously not the NAME of the ride... ;)

Our assistant at work was born and raised in Louahvul (HER pronunciation), and she was always told the Wildcats were the enemy...as you might have guessed, she ended up attneding UK. Just so none of my nieces, (or my nephew) end up at FSU... ;)

Maybe with a sly wink they could name it "Moonshiner" and say that the whole idea is to highlight NIGHT rides... LOL! :)

Beech Bend Park certainly doesn't have the marketing budget of Holiday World, and the two parks compete in some of the same markets, so Beech Bend must be creative in its approach.

A lot of people see park ads on TV, then promptly forget which park has those rides that looked like so much fun.

I think that Beech Bend Park should take advantage of the fact that it overlaps with some of Holiday World's media markets while also keeping in mind the inattentiveness of many television viewers.

My name suggestion is The Vayoge.

I submitted 'Wooden Coaster 1'.

Okay, maybe I didn't. But I should.

I drew a huge blank, so I submitted "Blitzkreig".

After thinking about it a while I've come up with two names that pays homage to Rye's coaster as well as the streamlined look of the coaster:

Jetstream or JetScream

Come to think of it that might also describe the sound of the train as it does the station fly-bys ;)

Actually, shouldn't it be "Beech Bend Over and Squeal Like a Pig"? And as the ride ops come to check the lap bars, they should say to everyone "you shore got a purty mouth." And instead of saying "dispatch" or "all clear" they should yell "SOOOOOOEY!"
