The Beech Bend water park expansion plans include a wave pool, lazy river and water play structure. In addition to the water park expansion, two new rides will be added, a Family Tea Cup and a Quad Runner children’s ride.

Sounds like a pretty impressive expansion for the water park, and its nice to see them give the amusement park some love with a couple flats too!

They have been on a kick of replacing some older flat rides recently, mostly with exact replacements (Sizzler, Tornado, Scat) and they have been adding important infrastructure changes that will pay off in the end, as well as an occasional new ride here and there (Carousel, Sea Dragon).
Looks like many of those small-changes have been getting the park ready for this, as this surely will increase attendance. I also think he paid cash for Rumbler so he wouldn't worry about doing loans, but don't hold me to that.
I wonder if he ever sold that Looping Star. That Theater looks pretty big, it would fit nice in the Star's spot.
I think that this is great news for the park. I noticed that there's no mention of a Christmas Spectacular this year. Did I just miss this info, or are they in fact not doing it. If so, bummer, as I never got the chance to check it out.
They are not doing it this year. Which is both fortunate and unfortunate depending on your outlook. They will be saving money for some new expansions and such by not being open. Which could translate to a new roller coaster in the next few years.
How could not getting more revenue equate to saving money? I take it that the even hasn't been doing well?
