Bed Bug Abatement - Cedar Point Hotel Breakers

Before I get lashed on this one - it does have a positive note.

Thurs eve of May 26th - I was walking down the main hallway toward Pool Side Deli - and encountered an abatement occurring.

They had the Heater unit in the room and about 10 fans on a cart. Maintenance was doing a thorough inspection of a Breakers East pool side room - sorry didn't get the room number but it was on the first floor halfway to the first left bend just off the lobby.

Who knows if there was truly an infestation - it could have been a guest trying to get "value" for his stay by crying wolf - but none the less at least they were taking the issue seriously.

Sleep tight folks!

I am relieved that they appeared to be taking care of the problem. I trust that efforts to get rid of bed bugs works, so I'd have no problem staying there (except for the crazy prices :) ).

Isn't it strange that the whole bedbug scare is unheard of, so far, this season? I thought that it was all media over-hype, all along.

I'm waiting for the Sandusky register story...

It was also on the pool side of the hallway - that should narrow it up a bit.

I think they are using lavender oil...and mint leaves combination...for breaking the life cycle of bed bugs... you can easily understand my point ...by .. (link to spam removed -- G)

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
