Personally,(don't hurt me)I like SoB better. I really think it is better because I like height and speed the best on a coaster. This in my opinion makes it better than The Beast. I also like a good ol' bumpy out of control wooden coaster. The Beast is this but SoB is rougher. In all SoB is a better coaster to me. The Beasts will always hold a special place in my heart though. What do you think?

I'm still waiting for my trip back to the homeland to ride SOB, but I think the Beast is still my favorite coaster of all time. There's just something about rocketing through the woods, especially at night. And the final helix always scares the heck out of me...

I have the same opinion. The beast will always have a place in my heart but the son of beast is a little better. I personally like the big drops and airtime more, so son of beast is a great coaster in my eyes. The drops are amazing for a wood coaster and the speed is awesome to. I am not complaining or anything but son of beast is just a little to rough. I like the smoothness of the steels more but I still love the ride SOB has to offer
I definitely position The Beast above Son of Beast, but not by much. SoB truly is an amazing coaster, and definitely a lot smoother than The Beast. With it's height, length, speed, loop, and incredible helixes, it is definitely an amzing ride, but is bested by its father's amazing high-speed run through the beautiful Ohio woods, and the ending helix is simply amazing, quite possibly the perfect helix.
I have to go with SOB. I only have like 1 lap on the Beast, so I need to ride it alot more, LoL.

Living in Cincinnati I have riden both SoB and The Beast more than 30 times (More than 100 on The Beast) I would have to say that on a scale of ten the Beast is a ten and Son of Beast is a 9.99! The one thing that takes away from Son of Beast being the best coaster is that unlike the Beast you cans see most of the coaster from the Eiffel Tower. However, Son of Beast offers a great night ride once off the lift hill it is totally dark until you hit the brakes in the station
The Beast still reigns over its son in my opinion. SOB is an incredible, intense ride, but it's not its daddy. The speed and g-forces are incredible though. However, the Beast feels just as fast going through it's final helix, which I believe is the greatest element ever made on ANY coaster! Flying the woods not knowing where the $*%& you're going is what makes the Beast stand out, also (even though I've ridden it so many times I know exactly where I'm going now...oh well, I still remember the first time). I think SOB's helixes could have been designed better (the first one goes too high and loses too much speed).

I really enjoyed The Beast over SOB. The feeling when racing through the woods at night is the best. Then also when going through the double helix, it sounds like a beast growling at you. SOB is a great ride but The Beast will always hold a special place in coaster lovers hearts.
I think they're the two best woodies and they rival the Force and Mantis on my list of favorite coasters. But I have to take the SoB simply because it's faster and more intense than the Beast. The Beast has some great parts and is slightly smoother, but I can't think of any down-time on SoB. Poorly built, but still one of the best out there.
The Beast is my favorite coaster ever. I will be riding SoB in May and can't wait. I'm going to be riding over 100 new coasters this year, but I still think the Beast will remain top.

i think that SoB might be better than the beast because of the loop, no long straight away, speed,and height.(well thats my opinion)
