BeastBuzz Trip Extension - Crazy enough to work?

Friday - Dollywood

Saturday - King's Island

Sunday - Holiday World

Is this too ambitious/stupid? What say you!!! Remember to tack on my 4+ hour trip from Cleveland before calling me a sissy.

It's definitely doable

Getting to Pigeon Forge would probably be your biggest issue. I'm assuming you will be leaving for TN on Thursday?

The 5 hours from DW to PKI shouldn't be a problem. It I were you, I would probably stay half way between the parks so that I wouldn't have a long drive Friday night/Saturday morning.

I wouldn't call you a sissy, but Sean may when comparing some of his trips to yours. ;-)

Oooh, four hours.

Stupid? Ha! I'll show you stupid...

Beastbuzz '04 Tour Day 1: Drive from Minnesota to Cincinnati to meet a friend driving from northern Ohio. Hit Waffle House at 2 am to nauseate her with 8-way Hash Browns.

Day 2: Drive from Cinci to HW for the afternoon, then back for a quick SFKK stop before driving to Columbus to crash with another bunch of friends altogether.

Day 3: BeastBuzz. And NO driving. But there were more 8-way hashbrowns involved. Dammit, where's my chili?

Day 4: Six Flags St Louis

Day 5: Decided to blow off WOF, Arnold's Park and Adventureland...AGAIN...to drive home and wonder why the hell I did that.

This year, they better bring their butts up north!

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Day 2:To be fair, you drove from Cincy to SFKK with me following you, making me very nervous the whole way, then I drove from SFKK to HW. You drove half way back from HW to SFKK and my car still isn't the same since then. :P

As for Day 1, my stomach STILL turns whenever I see a WH :)

I think from where I'm sitting, and a lot of other enthusiasts will certainly agree, that trip is not only do-able, but a piece of cake.

On the extroverts true-blue enthusiast scale, I'd give that about a 4 on a 1 to 10.

Somehow you need to weave SFKK and Indiana Beach into your plans as well--then we might sit up and take notice!

(Just joking! I think it's a perfect weekend and you should have a great time!)

Barry J.

P.S. My driving times from Cincy to Dollywood are as follows: 1 hour to Lexington, Kentucky, another 95 minutes to the state line (Tennessee) and another hour to Dollywood vis a vis Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Total driving time: 3 and 1/2 hours time approximate.

To Holiday World from PKI: 75-71 South to Louisville (100 minutes from PKI's door), and then another 45-50 minutes out of Louisville and across Southern Indiana to Holiday World. This drive total time: 2 and a half hours tops.

(Now, if you really want to be ambitious, throw in a trip to Six Flags St. Louis and drive the 3 extra hours from Holiday World to there and say hello to THE BOSS).

Neuski, that 5 hour driving time you cited from PKI to Dollywood is wildly inaccurate.

4 hours maybe if you are pokey. . .

I've decided to swap my car for an amish horse and buggy to make this trip more hardcore. Does that get me any more Cbuzz street cred?
Sarah J: Wow, you found that post pretty quick. Stalkalicious!

But if I drove at your favorite speed, I'd almost be home from last year's BeastBuzz.

Curl your toes, granny! C'mon, it's not that hard!

I still say Plymouth Neons are NOT built to go 90 mph!
How would you know? Your eyes would squeeze shut past 62...
75 thank you!
No, that's when you'd start with the squealing!

Is it possible? Yes. Recommended? Not if I was in charge. BeastBuzz is pretty exhausting for us, and we get in the night before and stay the night of.

Yeah, but you actually have to work. ;)

I'm just a messenger.
Most of the online maps are very generous with their time estimates.

Yea, I usually kick MapQuest's ass. I can't think of a time when I didn't beat their estimate by at least 10-15%.
Naaa. I wouldn't call you a sissy. Hell, I have done two day trips consisting of only 3 parks that have drained me out. It all depends on how you look at it I guess.

Now, if you were to thrown in a small jaunt to, let say, Lagoon, then you might be really pushing it. =:^)

On one occasion I did four parks in a day, and two international flights for good measure. Given the parks in question it worked pretty well, but then the distances were not that great either (Pleasure Island Cleethorpes, Bottons Pleasure Beach, Fantasy Island, and Dunes Leisure).
