Outside some rides are signs that say count the signs, or something similar and report the answer to the attendant to get your points for prizes???? Anyone know anything about this?
Found out already:
Found email response to someone that says: "Thank you for your question and your interest in the park. The Beast Challenge is a team
building activity that Kings Island offers for company group visits. It’s a leadership building program. If you have any additional
questions or concerns, you can contact us at 513-754-5700."
There are four signs that read, in order:
Why are you riding this...
...when there is a much better woodie...
...four hours southwest...
...at Holiday World.
Mamoosh- I haven't been able to make it to Holiday World yet, but I hope your wrong about the voyage being a better woodie than the beast. I love the beast. Daytime or night time, it's by far the best woodie I have ridden. I hope to someday challenge the voyage but until then The beast is still my number 1.
Oh yea I did like your humor.
Why would you hope that he is wrong that there is something better than the beast? I hope that there is something better than my favorite woodie out there, because that gives me something to work towards making it out to.
And as much as I like the Beast, Voyage is just in a totally different league.
Smart guy: Metallica is much better than Megadeth.
Other guy: I really really hope that you are wrong, because I have not heard Metallica yet, and Megadeth is my favorite metal band EVER!
Me: Hilarious! That's a great example of a fanboy fright there.
...
So this "hunt" game sounds like fun. I wish it was available for all park guests.
When I worked in Jurassic Park at Universal Studios, they had a game similar to this. It was geared more towards the kids. They were trying to make available more things for the younger kids to do in JP. I had the wonderful job of standing outside the JP gate and approaching families with children to tell them about the game and give them a game card. Most people thought that I was trying to sell them something, and would very aggressively avoid me and my coworkers. Needless to say, it didn't last but a few months. That was a shame too, because it was pretty clever and entertaining.

I know this is kind of off topic, but does anyone remember the beast footprints leading you to the ride? I remember they had these up untill around the time paramount took the parks over.
I think they started near the eifel tower, and led all the way to the rides entrance.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

LOL Mike. I actually tried to work in a Burma Shave reference but I had trouble with the rhyme. This is as far as I got:
The Beast is only for the tough
That's why we keep it running rough
something something rhymes with shave
something something Burma Shave!

As far as I can remember, they were still there when Cedar Fair bought the park.

I can confirm that the Beast tracks were there in 2007.
And that Voyage is greater than Beast.

And sponsored by Burma Shave!
(well, that's better than Axis body spray or Karate Kid for coaster sponsorship deals!)

Beast hunt sounds great for a Dark ride name, come around the last corner and two clawed paws grab ya by the neck :)
Well, at least some brakes and lift hills, moosh.

I loves me some Beast, but I was a non-believer until i went to HW last year. Trust me, Voyage chews the beast up, spits him out, runs him over, backs up, and does it all over again without giving you a backache ;)
I hate people. But I love gatherings. Isn't it ironic?
Beast Hunt? I think he's probably still back there, hiding behind the trees at this point. Partly ashamed of what has been done to him over the years. But he's still there, under all the hideous train modifications, and all those brakes... he's still there - watching - waiting...
