For example, go enjoy the wonderful theming on the Train Ride, the indian wigwams, the cabins, the battle between the soldiers and the indians at the Fort complete with sound effects. The animatronic characters at the Old West Town.
What you missed that on your last visit, oh thats right everything except the buidings for the Fort and the Old West town are gone.
Train ride not your cup of tea? Go ride Top Gun, where they have the themed section of the queue BLOCKED OFF. Or go ride Adventure Express where the drummers often drum with only one hand, the leader at the top speaks in a mumbled voice, and often has burned out eyes. And if your lucky the spears in tunnel two might be working but don't count on it.
Or how bout the Festhaus! Its a crying shame what they did do that. All the frescos on the walls are GONE, the internation menu is GONE, the live entertainment is GONE and a lot of the wooden tables are GONE.
Remember the first two Iwerks movies, they used to have all sorts of props in line while you waited, I noticed they spared that expense this time around.
In the give credit department, at least Phantom Theater and Flight of Fear are holding up nicely.

"...Let's face it PKI's track record with theming isn't that good."
Didn't PKI beat IOA this year in the Golod Ticket Awards for best themed kids area?

Let the world know your Top 10 Coasters at http://www.coastergrotto.zzn.com
Besides PKI over IOA? Nick Central over Camp Jurassic? Those judges were clearly either bribed or drugged. Then again it was a new award, perhaps tailor designed to point up PKIs new kids area.
An award for best Kid's Area is fair, in case you haven't visited or toured many kiddielands lately the bar has definetely been raised. Six Flags seems to be doing well with large wonderfully themed kiddielands as well (SFMM, SFWoA). The era of "throw a dozen little rides in a back corner of the park" is over. And for the park's its a wise investment to have large engaging kiddielands to get future customers 'hooked' on the parks.
Reptar and Wild Thornberies are wonderful both in theming and ride experience, but two themed rides does not a "Best themed kid's area" make.

And that is one reason why I fear Tomb Raider. Let's face it PKI's track record with theming isn't that good.
Dude...finally someone is taking up my side on this argument. I love PKI to death, that is why I'm extemely critical about things it does that just plain suck. The theming in the kids area is really good, but give it a few years and I'm sure PKI will not maintain the new high level of housekeeping around there.
And Gillette Mach 3's Top Gun? What is that? I'm glad they replaced the theming of that ride with a shaving sponser.
The growl on the Beast would be warmly welcomed back, but I doubt they've given it a second thought. Would cost money. The $8-$10 parking just doesn't cover it.

!
I'm not dogging the park. It's my home park. There is so much more good there than bad. I just think they have made quite a few bad choices over the past few years in the theming department. And not to mention the pricing of parking, food, parking, season passes, and parking.
And as a side note, maybe they should have someone laugh at the top of the hill on the Beast like that Psyclone thing.
We shall see.

Is it that Paramount is losing the Hanna Barbera contract after all these years sometime in a few seasons or did they just not like the Bam-Bam Bumper Cars theme? .
It's almost certainly updating for today's kids. They are much more into the Nick themeing than the Hanna-Barberra stuff that their parents watched as kids. Would have wanted to go to Oswald Rabbit Land when you were a kid?
