Beast crash?

I was on Coasterforums message board when I stumbled accross a post saying that the great Beast crashed. Can someone please deny/confirm this? It also said that the brakes failed, causing 2 trains to collide, and sending 7 to the hospital

How can a train going 20 mph send 20 people to a hospital? I think you got more whiplash on Mantis' brake run when it stacked with three train operation than one train hitting another at 5 mph.
I wonder how much damage "The Beast" logo from the moving traing caused the back of the stationary one.

From the AP news I read:
Twenty passengers from both cars, which were not full, were taken to local emergencies facilities with bumps and bruises, Siebert said. All were treated and released.
Hmm.. I know it sounds extreme; but... *sigh*. Another "incident" of the year. Be glad it wasn't raided by the mass media.

5mph? It must have been sooooo terrible. lol

Millennium Force....it has its ups and downs.
I know this is devastating 5mph is so fast I would have died if something hit me that fast.  lol.  well at least it was just bumps and bruises.  Shows you PKI cares for their people sent them to a hospital with just a bruise.

I fail to see what is so funny about this. Maybe you can enlight me on why you are joking about this.
So you think getting hit at 5mph will not case an injuries? What if you were boarding the train while it was getting hit and you feel and cracked your head. Do you find that funny?

Anyone know where the collission occured: brake run or station?  There had to be some major mechanical failure for this to occur, knowing PKI has a very conservative blocking system on The Beast.

I know that Rideman was at PKI today, so hopefully he can shed some light on this.

That brake run is long, covered, and long too. Enough skids to stop more than 2 trains I felt.

That's what I'm getting at.  I've been on The Beast many many times in a heavy rain and I've never noticed any slippage in the final brakes.  The covered shed should keep out most of the rain, and was designed to stop three trains I believe.  My theory is that either a brake wasn't set properly, or that corner of PKI was hit by unforseen horizontal rain.
