Beakerz Coasterz has posted two new video clips from Southern California. One video highlights Knott's Berry Farm's Xcelerator, the other Adventure City.

How is this newsworthy? Adding pictures or a video to your site, in my opinion, doesn't necessitate the need to have a listing here. Maybe if the ride were still being constructed, or it was an exclusive... maybe. But come on, we're getting into the realm of silly here.
I'm going to submit a news article that I updated my forums from phpbb 2.0 to phpbb 2.0.1 and see if I can get it posted here.

Furthermore, where are your comments on the other three mainstream news items today?
It has always been our policy to mix mainstream news with news from enthusiast sites, including those owned by both of you. I would think it best not to bite the hand that feeds.

Sure, when I did the behind the scenes photos and the auction of schwarzkopf wheel, because those were items you couldn't find elsewhere.
But if I add another 12 pictures of Texas Cyclone to my website, from what you are saying, I should submit a news article about it?
Did I submit a news article to have submitted when I added Deja Vu photos to my Magic Mountain page on my website? No, because it's not ground breaking stuff... neither is yet another video of xcellerator, or Holiday World photos on starcoasters.com ... I mean... really... it's just plain silly.

I think you're missing the point, Panther. I'm under the assumption that Coasterbuzz is my "Portal to the thrill" - the logo says it. I take that as a yahoo or excite type site but totally related to the amusement park industry. It's a collection of all things of interest to enthusiasts and it points me in the direction of things I may have never known about or would have had to spend a great deal of time finding.
Suppose I'm a huge fan of Beakerz Coasterz videos, then this is certainly newsworthy. Many enthusiasts enjoy seeing new photos of old rides, something doesn't have to be brand new to be interesting.
I ,for one, appreciate these types of submissions because it saves me the time of scouring the gazillion coaster & park sites out there just to see if someone added something I may be interested in. Please keep posting them, Jeff.
Sounds to me like someone is bitter because they haven't been submitting their site updates and are missing out on some serious exposure...

So other people's work is silly? Who said something had to be ground breaking to share it with people? Should I just not post anything until someone dies or announces a 400-foot coaster?

I'm personaly glad this news was added. I live in CT and probably won't be visiting Cali anythime soon and want to get all the Xcelerator info that I can.
Its true that some updates here are more important than others, but even little things like this catch my attention.
BTW, Beakerz coasters did abother great job! I've always been a fan of their awesome X footage and this is no dissapointment :)

Before you criticize somebidy, walk at least a mile in their shoes. That way, if they get mad, the're a mile away and barefoot!
Somehow... I would have to lean towards the side of "Panther Modern" on this one as well...
...I remember already downloading like 3 movies of X-celerator already, and this is around the 4th one... the sad thing is, and no offense to the person who created it... is that this is probably the least impressive. I did download the large file, but the music wasn't that great, and it was too long for such a short coaster. At least the first half of it was just the same launch over & over & over again... mostly from the same angles.
It would have been nice with some sound effects, as to get a true feel for how the coaster sounds when it takes off...
...but again, this is my opinion, and it usually doesn't count.
I'm not dissing that this isn't newsworthy (I'm not one to judge that, really)... but just as an opinion on the video itself is a little sub-par because it's a little tedious.
Yeah chazz, I'm making millions and retiring next year.
Dumbass.

I made this video, yes it was kinda long, yes it may not be as good as other ones, but you have to understand, this is only my second video ever! I am a kid that is 15 years of age and making these videos, I don't have the best software, I don't have the best video cameras or camcorders, heck I don't even have a digital camcorder I took this on! But as long as some people have seen the video and enjoy the video, i'll keep making them. You will see many more videos coming from this site. I have made this one and the other two videos the x and the adventure city coasters. You will see 18 more videos coming very soon. All are done but just waiting to go on the site. And to tell you the truth some will absolutely blow you away. I wasn't too impressed with this video myself. I did get video of it running with people on opening day but I had the display button on so it showed the time ruining the video. So I had to use the day before video. But still, thanks for the comments and hopefully you'll like my next couple of videos. And thanks to jeff for posting this news. And no im not going to send news to him everytime a video is finished. I just want you all to enjoy the videos and have fun. So what it's not your ride, so what it's not your music, so what it's not your video, but please just somewhat enjoy the video if you can.
