Army Rangers lead the way
It says April 5th so you won't even be in the first thousand prolly. With April 3rd - radio station day where all the people who won tickets get in. Then there is April 4th - season pass sneak peak. So there will be a good amount of people before you, not to mention staff.
Winners will be seated in order of the highest-bid to the lowest-bid with the best seat going to the highest-bidder. Ride time subject to change without notice. Auction price includes admission to Paramount's Kings Island the day of the ride.
The "best seat" goes to the highest bidder. Is there a best seat on a top spin?
Funny, I';ll be doing the 9:15 walkback and will have ridden the night before if all gose well.
Oh well, If its for a good cause, More power to them :)

Americana is opening in 2002 and needs your support as many company picnics are already schedualed for someplace else, Indivdual visits are very improtant to the parks survival.
Coincidence or not.....you be the judge.
Check out the Huss Giant Top Spin here: http://www.hussrides.com/31GiantTopSpin.htm
Notice the 77 seat capacity.
Now count the number of seats being auctioned on Ebay....I count 76. Hmm.
I'll be at PKI early on the 5th, tailgating with brew and brats. Can't hardly wait!
Saying TR is going to be "just a Top Spin" is like saying Poseidon's Fury is "just a show."

Mamoosh,
I was just comparing the seating capacity and the number of auctions currently on Ebay.
I'm confident that this Top Spin will blow away any previous version because of the added effects.
I can't wait for the "plunge" into the pit of boiling lava. How they'll pull that one off is a question to me. Maybe the entire "floor" of the ride room will be this "lava"? Will they just dip you're head or actually submerge the top spin, I can see it now. People boarding the ride will think everybody pissed themselves.
I'm just extremely excited....but more for LoCoSuMo.

Welcome back riders, hope you've enjoyed your ride, push down and then pull up on your lap bars and exit to your right, walk down the exit ramp and enjoy the rest of your day here at Paramount's Kings Island.
Coaster Joe - my comment wasn't aimed at you...sorry it sounded that way ;-)
--POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT--
While I don't have confirmation on what the ride experience will be I do have my own speculation of what it will be. Again, this is totally just a guess, I have no confirmation from anyone as to what the TR ride vehicle is or what the experiece will be. Anyone who has experienced IOA's Poseidon's Fury will understand this:
When riders finally get to the room where the ride vehicle is[and in this case I'm assuming its a Giant Top Spin] it will appear to be a very small room. The supports of the ride will be themed as giant stone columns holding up a low-hung ceiling [below the rotation point of the arms]. After all guests are secured, the music grows louder and the lights go out. Silently and quickly the walls, floor, and ceiling are pulled back and the lights come back on to reveal the large 80'x80' room where the stalagtites, lava, and other theme elements are. Its as if you're suddenly transported to a new place. At the end of the ride cycle this will be reversed: lights go out, music builds, the walls, floor, and ceiling are returned, and when they lights come back on you're back in the "small room" again.
IMHO sounds pretty freakin' fantastic to me...I wonder how close I am to the actual experience?

Mamoosh,
I'm thinking the experience will be quite similar to what you suggested. However, I think lighting effects will only reveal the elements one-by-one. For example, the stalagtites are experienced first while the lava remains dark below. Then a transition into the lava effect while the stalagtites are darkened. Just my thoughts.
Ever think about what will be on the back wall? You will only see it when you're upside down. Maybe the ride won't even invert. I'm certain that this ride won't be operated like a typical dizzy-inducing top-spin. Ooo the anticipation.......
How long do you think it will last? At five minutes complete cycle time (load, ride, unload) that's only 12 cycles per hour....capacity 924 riders / hour. I think five minutes may be a little generous for a new ride.
Coaster Joe - I agree, I think each element will be revealed seperately...that's actually what I mean [man...am I having problems communicating today or what? LOL!]. I honestly haven't given any thought to the back wall, which will be seen when inverted, but remember things can pop OUT from the wall under the riders, so I think just about anything can happen.
My anticipation for TR isn't as high as others because I have absolutely no intention of vitising PKI this year. I was there in 2000 and 2001, so I'm focusing my travels elsewhere this year, particularly small PA parks.
But I'm sure TR will be quite impressive ;-)
