Batwing Update

Monday, May 21, 2001 11:55 AM
Yesterday I went to SFA, noticed Batwing is coming along nicely. Two of the trains are on the transfer track. They were putting the third train on while I was there. The station still has a little work left. I believe it is going to have a Roman theme. The que line still has to be built. I think testing will probably begin this week so look for Batwing to open in a few weeks.

You're not. Media events are (gasp!) for the media. Parks will choose people they know and trust who will say the right things to the cameras. If you're not currently one of those people, don't bother the park trying to be one of those people. All it does is cause them to want to avoid all of us.

Thanks Jeff. I think GAH and EH are some of our budding enthusiasts. They'll learn. The station so far is looking really sharp. Can't wait to see it all finished. Rain is predicted all week, so I'm hoping they can continue work in spite of the weather.

Chipmunk Master: If testing has not yet begun, how do you think they are going to have it open to the public in 4 days? (May 27th was a date that was mentioned as a possibility a month or more ago. If media day has been scheduled for June 5th it will most likely open around then, unless there is an unforeseen delay, which is a possibility.

Yeah even thought the track is completely done dont expect it to open this weekend. Thats what I did with X-flight and it took a long time to complete the behind the scene portion of the ride.

If you count today, sure. ANYWAY, why do you say it will open the 27th when testing has not yet begun. That makes absolutely no sense, man. X-flight took a long time to test, and it isn't open yet. If they have scheduled media day for June, don't expect it to open until then.
