Batman the Ride and Vekoma SLC's

Okay, I posted this topic before, but before people could reply, it was closed for being a "vs." topic. Well, I have mad sure that this is not a "vs." topic. When I went to SFGadv I had the misfortune of not riding B:TR, but have ridden many a Vekoma SLC. SLC's are nice, but are B:TR's better? I may go to SFGAdv again, so I was just wondering if it is worth my time.

Whatever you do, get on a Batman TR soon.  Thats all anyone should have to say about that.

B:TR's aren't SLCs at all, they're manufactured by a completely different company, B&M.  The same fine folks who've made Raptor, Alpengeist, Dueling Dragons, etc.

I know. by "are they better than a standard SLC" I meant: is a B&M Batman: The Ride better than a standard Vekoma SLC? I'm not retarded. I know they're not the same

Asking if they're better gets into opinions.  Personally, yes, I think they are.

No offense was intended, no need to get so defensive.  From your original post it sounded like you were equating B:TR's with SLC's (saying "standard SLC" implies that Batman is a non-standard SLC), so I merely sought to clarify that.

Sheesh.

The B:TR's are generally smoother, feel faster and are more intense then SLC's in my opinion.  But I have only ridden one SLC and two B:TR.  B:TR are my favorite inverts.  Raptor is fun, but it just doesn't provide the non-stop intensity of a B:TR.  I say definately go ride it.
sorry, gregleg, i see where you're coming from now. apologies that i got all defensive.

I haven't ridden any Vekoma SLC's except for DeJa Vu if you can count that. I don't think there can be a better ride than Batman The Ride. What other ride holds you by the neck and doesn't let go from the first drop to the brake run? There is no area of straight track anywhere on this thing until the brakes. I think that an SLC is probably a good ride, even though i've heard it's a tad bumpy.
