Batman Knight Flight

Hey everybody, im new to boards, anyway i got a question about Six Flags Ohio, Ive been hearing a lot about the Superman and the Villain, but what about Batman Knight Flight, is this a bad ride? Is the ride not worth the wait? Im just curious? Post your answer, i really appreciate it. Thanx
Yeah it is a good ride. I have ridden it 5 times. But it is nothing compared to raptor or mantis. Out of the 3 new ones it is last. No airtime really, a good first drop but not as good as villain. I have sat in the front and back and the G's are good but their is really no big difference a little but not much. If I had to rate it I would say the best are the G's in the interlocking loops. The cobra roll was not as good as I thought, nothing like Raptor's. Well that was alot of rambling. If you go Ride superman and villain first. My rating was this: #1..Villain (airtime everywhere) #2..Superman (bigger rush than PT) #3..Batman

AD, NOoOOoooOoooOo siree you are severly misinformed. The other two have just gotten so much fanfare because everyone in this forum is over-talked about Batman! We've been talking about it for sooo long because it was the first to be tested. Now that the other two have come out we have shifted directions. Batman is INCREDIBLE. It is incredibly long, incredibly fast, and the first hill is a KILLER. Just when you think you are going over a normal hill, you keel over and head STRAIGHT DOWN. This ride is PERFECT, it is nothing less. RIDE IT, LOVE IT, CHARISH IT.

See yah this summer at Six Flags Ohio!
I would not call it killer but I would say that villain and superman are better. The faces of people getting off batman were not cheers and screams where as those getting off Vilain were screams and cheers everytime. Now batman is a good ride I did not say it sucked I just said that it is not as good as villain (airtime that is when you pop out of your seat) and superman (bigger rush than batman). The first drop is good but the drop on villain is better likewise superman. You have to realize that I compare all B&M's to Raptor and mantis and in no way did Batman beat either. Raptor blows it away and Mantis is a little better. A good ride but nothing killer in my book. I guess it depends on your preference. BTW how many times have you ridden Mantis and Raptor Coasterwuss?

Oh ok guys, thats for clearing that up for me, I should be at Six Flags, either June 14th or 15th
To AD:

Batman Knight Flight is a great ride. It has the best first drop in the park and it just screams through its layout. What most people don't realize is that B&M designed the perfect floorless for SFO. They had to squeeze five inversions in such a tight area. The coaster is also partly over water (which to me adds to the thrill, especially as you dive into the first drop and see water below). I think too many people expected BKF to be more like the other B&M's out there, with mega inversions, et al. But BKF has a personality and originality all its own. Yes, Villain and Superman have had all the attention, but don't underestimate BKF. You'll enjoy it.

My reaction to Batman was favorable in the front seat, but any other seat just left me feeling it was just another B&M looper. Of course, that's not a bad thing by any means, but it didn't jump out at me as a total classic.

How about they all kick butt! Superman is there for speed and weightlessness if you want it. BKF is there for the feeling of soaring and just plain fun. Villian is there for airtime and the woodie feel. ST is there for complete disoreintation!! SFO has a little bit of everything now!!! all they need is a crowd drawer with a big hyper or giga.!!!! hint hint
Hooper -- did you ride BKF in the BACK seat? There's several big airtime pops from back there, including the drop right out of the station!

I think BKF is a great ride. I liked Villain and Superman even MORE, but that doesn't mean BKF is a bad ride by any means. As Jeff says, it's a B&M looper -- 'nuff said ;)

In the front, it's a good ride for visuals. In the other seats, it's still a good B&M sitdown looper. And in the back, we DID get some really good air... It's in my Top 10 Steelies list, but I haven't quite settled on where yet, and I haven't ridden MF yet so I expect everything to shift down one. (I tossed out a ranking on Danimation, but that's very malleable still...)

I did ride in back once I think. I do remember airtime right before the dive into the interlocking loops (right after the trims behind the station) I remember alot of speed on the first drop but not an overwhelming amount of air. Although my problem is after I rode Villain I said what is batman. But it is a great ride And i think I would ride in the far back as my preference as I love getting pulled down the drop and all around rather than pushed. But the front is good.

Did anyone else really enjoy the loop from the back seat? It feels like it just doesn't want to make it. Perhaps my favorite part. But the air out of the blocks are great too.

I can't compare because BKF is the only rid ei've been on. Everytime they tested them i was working. So i didn't get a chance. But i still like the Raptor front seat better.
B&M coasters are easy in the way they ride. They are so gentle you could put your grandmom on one and she will never want to get off.SFGA is my homepark,and....MEDUSA...is the most Delightful ride there is.It has a nice first drop ,and you can see into the safari on the way up ,(a nice little bonus), and it never bangs you around really, and the layout puts a lot of the activity out where the whole crowd (Mom & Dad, your too chicken friend, the line que)can watch you dive and twist upside down.I watched a guy almost get pegged by a riders steel framed sunglasses- they did not put netting up (HersheyGreatBear/pond) so "look out underneath"! The First time I was able to get on I and my fellow riders were surprised at how long the ride is. You could not possibly ever be unglad you chose to ride.....unless the guy ahead of you steals your seat:Thats one for RUDE PARK GUESTS BUZZ----------

The velocity is felt greatest in the back ( in an older Discovery Channel show a interview-ie agrees to this ),the front is exellent to fly(feel less inhibited from the chair).Ride the RIGHT SIDE (all rows)on all B&M coasters-the left feels as if it is trying to aviod hitting a wall.Ride the front row,and then the very back -most of the people who have tried this say they believe there is a difference in speed.

Ok this might seem abit of a stupid question, but if your shoe came off on a floorless coaster, wouldnt it get caught between the car and the track ?

Thanx
Batman:KF is a very good coaster, especially from the front seat, where is looks like you are floating above the track. The first dive into the loop is weightless. The overbanked turn after the loop is excellent.

Paul, that's not a dumb question. I could be wrong, but it seems like I have seen a little metal guard with an upside down "V" cut out above the track close to the wheel. The "V" appears to be only 1/2 inch or less from the track. Kinda looks like it would scrape the paint from the track if the wheels were worn enough. I saw this on the rear of the Superman:KC at SFFT, however I assume that all floorless M&B trains are similar. And I am also guessing that these "paint scrapers" are in front of the wheels as well. Someone please correct me if this is not the case.

Check the SFO section of this site (there's a link on the home page for now), enter the gallery and check the photos marked "wheels."
