I just called Six Flags Great Adventure and i got some exciting news. Chiller is open today! They couldn't be lying because i got some other people to call & ask too, and the operators also said Chiller will be open, both sides! Both sides had been testing and they are ready to open today.. Just wanted to make sure you know now.. and have fun riding them your next time to the park! i am probably going next week, 5.11 or 5.18, I am not sure. I have a school trip on 5.11 but I think im going to cancel it, I want to ride chiller ASAP!
Damn, I wish I was there right now! Instead i'm eating cereal and skimming through a used car magazine. :(

LOL, me too. I'm pretty bored too. If i were there right now, i would be on Batman.. ahh! i can't even think of it!.. At least i got to ride Robin w/ Lap Bars. I might be able to go next Sunday, but im not sure. I want to get on chiller asap because i want to ride batman the most.. at least its open and feel happy i mean JEALOUS for the people who are riding it right now..lol

Are roller coasters my life? NO, but I certainly like them!
Well, this is total B/S. I was at SFGAdv today. They are still testing with water dummies. I spoke with Ron in maintenance. Chiller has passed one inspection but they still have to cycle the ride at least 300 times and reinspection before riders are allowed on. So far NO ONE has ridden it. Chiller MIGHT open next Saturday. Time to put these stupid rumors to rest.

i know but then again, it wasnt my fault because great adventure operators dont know anything.. they tell me chillers open to the public when it isnt? now thats b/s..
do you think itll be open by the 18th.. because that is when im going. I would really like to ride it.. hey tell me how it is when anyone rides it before i do like the employee party coaster131 just said.. i would like to see some reviews..:)

If the chiller opens on friday for the employees will it be open for the public as well sometime that day?
Contrary to what everyone believes here are some facts.
Chiller has been certified for awhile and has had riders, although no guests. It cycled throughout the weekend with water dummies in cars 1 and 5 and was making it through the tophat with tons of speed to spare.
The park is hoping for a saturday opening, with the employee ERT set for friday night. It could open thursday and friday, although I personally believe that it'll be saturday.

I could have sworn I saw an employee riding when I went, in car 2.
Also, this year there is a difference in the ride (or at least from what I saw). When batman operated last year, on the first launch into the tophat, the tophat was taken at a fast speed, and had "looplike" G's. When I saw it operating with the water test dummies, it would go through the tophat with the same amount of speed as on the return trip.
This, my friends, either means a)- The ride isn't operating at full power, yet, or b)- We have some more major floater air on our hands!
