Bat Head?

Don't know how authentic this is since I never had the chance to see PKI's The Bat, but though you all might be interested in this:

What? Nobody died on the Bat! Unless, I've missed something....

You didn't. Nobody ever died on The Bat.

That has always been a bit of urban legend that surrounded the Bat, but nobody ever died to my memory. Maybe lots of hurting necks, but death! It was also rumored at times with King Kobra, but the only comfirmed deaths I can remember are:

1) Maintinence worker was electrocuted in the Viking Fury pond.

2) Intoxicated woman who died on Flight Commander when she fell to her death.

3) Senior night back in the eighties a grad fell from the lower platform on the Eifel Tower, (about 50-60 feet above the ground). This was back when people were actually allowed up there at times.

4) Mother who had a massive heartattack after getting off of Top Gun. That happened 4-5 years back.

...As far as the bat head, it looks like what I remember from the ride. Though it's been a very long time.

I'd like to have it because it's a cool bat head - not because it's a piece of a coaster.

It's the real thing, It's the second time in three years it's been up for auction on E bay, I think the last time it went for like 50 bucks. The guy who has it now wants 150 good luck buddy, My brothers wife just bought a BAT beer mug for my brother at a yard sale for 50 cents :)

Tower Johnny was beheaded by the Tower elevator weights.

Two died same day as Flight commander inccident when jumping in the pond behind Bubba Gumps to save a friend who was being shocked, The friend lived.

Serious incident on King Cobra, Worker hit by a train.

Woman had arm amputated by Lion in the 80s

No Deaths other than natural causes at PKI since Paramount took over.

That is awesome! Even if it wasn't from the Bat it's still cool-looking. ;)

Was that woman who had arm amputated by Lion in the 80's a worker? The rumor I heard was a worker.

There was indeed a Lion Mauling in the 1980's at KI, but unfortunately the worker died not just lost an arm. I have the news article at home, I'll have to dig it up.

Oh, and didn't a construction worker perish from a fall from OL:FOF when it was being installed?

Oh, and that Bat head was a promotional version that never ran on a train. It's the real thing, but it's one of a few that was made for promotional purposes to help "adverstise" the ride. The difference is that the promo ones were wired so that the eyes could glow while on display.
