Basic dimensions of intamin track?

I took my first auto cad class my sophmore year of high school, and now 4 years later i still use it everyday at where I work (Motter&Meadows Architets). I design houses in 3d everyday, i have no problem Turning out a 3d model in autocad. Although animation is better in 3dviz (witch it is made for). I believe unless you are actually going to run the coaster on the track, there is no reason to even use 3dviz. but that IMO. Autodesk Inventor Is a program designed to fabricate machine parts. Other things can be done on it, but not to a large scale.

Once You Feel the Force You Will never Be The Same
I knew that inventor is for smaller machine parts...but it can be used for a larger scale, its just really really hard to do, the biggest part that I have ever made in Inventor was something like 2 feet long, and it was a pain in the rear, so I highly doubt that a roller coaster could be done in Inventor but still it is a good program for small parts. Like I said, I know thats its easy to use AutoCAD's, but when it comes to rendering, I perfer 3DMAX or Viz which are almost the exact same program, although Max is a lot better when it comes down to it, and you pay for it too, just like any of these programs. Like I said I don't hate AutoCAD I just perfer other programs. *** Edited 1/29/2005 10:06:48 PM UTC by DRMAN2004***
I've contemplated modeling some amusement rides in CATIA (program primariliy used by Boeing and some companies in the automotive industy). I have 3DMAX but I haven't had time to mess with it, let alone try to make anything look good in it. That's the good and bad thing about college. You have access to some of the latest programs, but you generally don't have a lot of free time to use them...especially during the week.
