backwards inverts

Am I the only one who thinks travelling backwards on a coaster is overrated? I like Rebel Yell backwards ok, but honestly I prefer riding forwards. It's nice to see where you're going...especially on an invert.

I couldn't imagine the gutteral discomfort on a ride like Batman travelling backwards.

I also like rideing forwards more, but it would be cool to somehow go on and inverted backwards.

But the PTC trains on Racer are not that old. The original trains were completely different yes. But there are no inherent differences between Racer's PTCs and any other 3 bench PTC train beised restraints.

About the Racer trains:

I know that I've read somewhere that those trains would need some serious work to run backwards. I forget whether I read that on here or at Kennywood Blvd., but I do know that the statement was made by someone who would know such things ('kpjb,' perhaps).

chris - Racer's chain lift is in the center of the track and the skid brakes are equidistant from the chain, so I suspect the only work needed to be done for those train to run backwards is for the chain dogs to be reversed so they would engage the lift and anti-rollbacks. But that's probably not an easy [or wise] thing to do.
