Auto Sled at Myrtle Beach?

'Water Boggan' in Myrtle Beach, SC, is listed as having some type of steel coaster built in 1989 named Auto Sled. Does anyone have any information or know anything about this ride?

The name of this place rings a bell, but the coaster must not be very big, if it even exists. I'm a Myrtle Beach junkie in the summers and have never heard of it. Must be pretty small. -Allan

I saw the coaster listed on RCDB as opening in 1989 (no other info given). I looked for as much info on the park as possible, and I found it listed on many Myrtle Beach sites, but they have no website. I did find a phone number, but I don't feel like calling long distance.

Pretty sure that the ORIGINAL Water Boggan (grew up there) is located behind the Myrtle Beach Grand Prix near the old Air Force Base.  If they had a coaster called Auto Sled, then the word HAD is definitely the operative word.  There's not much there now.  Unless I'm mistaken and thinking about another place.  I've been wrong before.

your right "water boggan" is behind the grand prix on the beach side.  if i'm correct the auto sled was a pretty steep steel slide that slid across water at the bottom of the sled.  not really a rollercoaster at all if it's what i'm thinking of.  basically a boogie board sliding down a steep steel slide onto the water.  hopefully this will help some.
