Gold Coast theme park operator Village Roadshow has substantially boosted its forecast net profit for the current year, and it's all thanks to the company beancounters. The entertainment group said net profit was now expected to be $36 million compared with a previously forecast $27 million. The company plans to bolster its Gold Coast theme park businesses -- which includes the Warner Brothers' Movie World, Sea World, Wet 'n' Wild Water Park and Australian Outback Spectacular -- along with developing a greater stake in the growing Asian theme park market.
