Audio-animatronic Muppets roam Disney theme park "seeing" and "talking" to visitors.

I never thought I needed another reason to stay away from the "creepiest place on earth" but I think I just found one.
Don't want to encounter a walking, talking muppet, Joe?
I love Dr. Bunsen Honeydew & Beaker!

Nice use of a Segway. I wonder if they have security spies to make sure nobody abuses it?

Ooops...video answered my own question. There's a CM escort.

I look like Dr. Bunsen Honeydew. Or so I've been told. For serious.

I've never thought of that. I'm like the Dr. but with Beaker's hair. Hm. *** Edited 3/2/2007 7:50:06 PM UTC by matt.***

That's totally badass...I love it.

Well it's a step up from the talking garbage can they experimented with before. Show me something that walks and I'll be impressed.

The talking fountain at IOA, now that's genius.

They actually showed a true walking AA figure on a Discovery program about imagineering a few years ago. The problem was it was big and loked like some sort of industrial machienery, and I'm not sure how they could have made it look like a real dinosaur or anything. I believe that's why they changed to "Lucky the Dinosaur". (Who "walked", but his feet never actually touched the ground if you look closely)

This Muppet Lab is a big step up, and I love the use of the Segway system. To me this is the most impressive thing since they made the two pirates for Disney Paris that actually sword-fight.

I thought the talking tree (or bush was it?) in front of Animal Kingdom was pretty sweet.
I thought it was only me that heard that tree talking ;)
If this thing was at any of the Six Flags parks I think that it would be either stolen or vandalized. Seriously but we all know when Mr. Shairpo gets his family friendly parks and gets all of the teenagers out he will have annoying characters riding around on segways talking to all of the kids.

Seriously though it is extremely cool.

Ps. I think if you get too close the thing has a canister of pepper spray that comes out of the water jets. *** Edited 3/2/2007 10:29:05 PM UTC by Audioslaved***

Anybody check out asimo at disneyland?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Coolest thing EVER.
That is so cool. I love the Muppets and this is a really neat addition. I wonder if they will add one to Disney-Pixar Studios soon in Florida.
Asimo is... freaky. When you look at all those movies and stories about robots taking over us and you see Asimo... let's just say you feel weird! Regarding Asimo himself, he's unbelievable! The host talks to him and he "answers" and he can even go up and down the stairs!
I have to say this is pretty cool technology. The only thing this exhibit reminds of is when the simpson go to itchy and scratchy land and all of the animatronic robots are working on there own and then they go berserk from the flash of a camera. Lets just hope this does not happen to disney;) joking.

But I do think this is a great use of the muppets and I just hope disney does not get the idea that they are able to use these in place of the live characters that walk around the parks every day and save a buck in employment benefits. just my two cents.
