Both law enforcement agencies have been at the park in recent days, as state police probed a weekend break-in at the Hotel Conneaut and ATF agents continue their own investigation into the month-old fire at the Dreamland Ballroom.

It seems like the story of this park continues to just spiral down to a dark ending. Very sad.

What is the purpose of this board of trustees? They have no money to provide the most basic of services to the site. They seem totally oblivious to whatever's happening there. Maybe the way things are set up their hands are tied. But whoever is ultimately the owner or overseer there, whether it be the judge or the county commissioners or someone else, has to provide a way and means for these people to do what they were appointed to do. Or else just drop the charade and pull the plug for good.
