Article on PKI, HW, and SFKK

I thought that this was a pretty good take on what someone from the GP thinks of coasters in the HW, PKI and SFKK region.

http://www.velocityweekly.com/cover/index.html

I think it's interesting that she thought Thunder Run's trains were tight, but never mentioned anything about The Beast, Racer, Raven or Legend's trains being a tight fit. Also, sort of funny that Adventure Express was mentioned with the wood coasters.

It was always my experience with Thunder Run that the male end of the seatbelt was far too short and actually for a big guy like me, The belts cut into my legs.

Maybe thats what he ment.

Chuck, who's only had that problem on one other parks coasters. MIA's in certain seats.

So she agress SOB is far too rough. Which brings up a good point. She did not have a catagory for the intensity of the ride. Nausea can have something to do with it, but not exactly.

Every single person in the "GP" thinks Adventure Express (as well as Gemini and any steel coaster with a wooden frame) is a wooden coaster. I've even heard people saying they like the "old rickety coasters like Gemini" better than smooth steel coasters. LOL.

Well...if Gemini is a wooden coaster, then why DON'T more CP visitors want more wood like that? ;)

FYI, that article is not new - it was written last year. There was a whole discussion about it here in the forums when it was published.

Umm, I'm pretty sure this article is brand new. It's the cover story for Velocity this week even.

In fact, I think the girl just visited these parks last week. Check out the prices, they are up to date for this year even.

Yes, this is a current article. She was just here a week or so ago.

Thanks, Paula

My bad. The article seemed familiar when I read it and the copyright at the bottom of the page was 2004.

Sorry, Paula ;)

Years before Tom Cruise was jumping up and down on Oprah's couch and bragging about his creepy relationship with Katie Holmes,

That was not from last year.

I would also agree that the male end of the belt on Thunder Run is far too short. But, I would certainly rate that coaster above Racer and SOB. Oh well, interesting read for sure.
"Sorry, Paula "

Hey, what did you do to Paula? It was me you jumped on! =)
