Arrow's Web Site - still down!?!?

Arrow's web site is still down - sort of.

If you go to the regular URL, you get the "Due to recent events....the site is down" message. I had assumed the site was down due to the leaked X-coaster photos, but now that it's all announced, I dunno what the point is anymore.

In addition, if you go to www.arrowdynamics.com/index2.html , the old site comes up just fine, which indicates that thier attempt to take the site down was a pretty feeble one at that.

What in the heck is going on over at the Arrow Web department? I can't figure it out! *** This post was edited by Doug Rowe on 1/2/2001. ***

The site didn't have much of anything anyway... I assume that they intended to rebuild it to match their "new look," but I don't think they have the peeps to do it.

Yeah, believe it had to deal with some problem with whoever was developing the site backing out. However, this information could be wrong as I didn't get it first hand.

You build it, I'll ride it
I thought their old site was nothing short of God-awful. It was honestly one of the worst company sites I've ever seen.

I do periodically check it, though... Sooner or later they've got to update it, hopefully with information about X and whatnot.

Which leads me to another question. How many Arrow rides, coaster or not, are being installed for '01? Might anybody know?

Two Coasters
X @ M.M.
Madd Mouse @ P.G.A.
Rumored Coasters:
Mega Loooper in England
Arrowbatic @ Camp Snoopy (Mall Of America)
Mine Train new California Park
700ft Fish Hook Shuttle Coaster @ The Stratouspere Tower in Las Vegas
It's possible that they are refining the security of the website, so that next time photo's like that come out, they won't be leaked.

That doesn't take any time at all... just don't put them on a public FTP site next time.

(As I continue to say DUH!)

For those that saw the pototype "X" photos and the video that what we saw was the first drop of "X" at SFMM? (The little dip to make the seats flip.)

I doubt it. It seemed like a small test of the ride system.
1) Anybody know how to contact Arrow PR to ask them why?

2) There has got to be some (at least one?) Arrow employees that frequent this site that know what is going on....come on, share!

Arrow has managed to blow me off time after time, including at IAAPA.

That's world class marketing right there.
