Arrows Pipeline

Hey Iam new to the coaster thing could you please

Answer some of these questions for me thanks

1.Which or any parks were rumoured to have one

Are there any in the world

Why were the plans cut to make them

Does anyone know if they are any pics on the net

Is one of cp new coaster for 2002 going to be one
 Thanks

There never have been any Pipeline's produced, supposedly because of cost, except for a small prototype at Arrow's facilities in Utah. At this point, no one knows exactly what CP is building in 2002.

To answer your first question:
Alton Towers was rumored(or confirmed, I'm not sure) to have ordered two different pipelines at different times.  They were codenamed SW1 and SW2.  These plans were scrapped supposedly due to slow loading times and lack of momentum.

To answer your second question:
There are currently no pipelines in the world, unless the small prototype at arrow's facility in Utah still is standing.

To answer your Third Question:
Plans were cut for several rumored reasons.  These reasons include slow loading times, and an extreme loss of momentum as the train traveled the track.  This I believe resulted in incompletion of the circuit.

To answer your fourth question:
There may be several pictures floating around, check http://bm.coaster-network.com for some.  Also, on the video America's Greatest Rollercoaster Thrills in 3D, I believe that there is some footage of the pipeline on the video.

To answer your final question:
I don't think ANYONE at the moment knows what Cedar Point is getting in 2002.  The rumors span from a pipeline to a wild mouse to a Thrust Air 2000.  Only time will tell.

Doesn't Rollercoaster Tycoon let you build an Arrow Pipeline, or is that some other coaster type?

Why would RCT put in such a coaster type when none really exist or would even want to exist?

Proud to be an American!!

That would actually be the Ultra Twister model which is located at SFAW and several Japan parks including Nagashima Spa Land.

Yes. And maybe RCT thought we could do better. They seem to work in the game best for small, space strapped parks.
Isn't there a condemned pipeline in some asian mall?? or am i thinking of something else...lol

Also when the pipeline tested, the rider's heads got too close to the track. I still like the idea

Yes, there is an INTIMAN pipeline in Brazil or somewhere over there. I had heard it was not running, but I dont know the details.
Here's the History of the Pipline Coaster and Intamin's ill-fated Spiral Coaster. It was removed as apparently it cracked walls in the mall where it was located.
Isn't it weird how Intamin has had a working version of the pipeline coaster for years now but yet we still haven't seen one in the US.

In the article it even says that they have a LIM version avaliable for any customer wanting it, wouldn't that be wild a huge launched pipeline coaster with barrel rolls and vertical drops galor.

The article also says that arrow has worked alot of the bugs out of their pipeline version, could Arrow be getting ready to strike again with the 6th deminsion lol.

After reading this article and reading how this coaster can perform pretty much any manuver you can dream up, I can definitly see one of these coasters at SFMM, or CP hopefully very soon.

I didn't know all that about the pipeline, maybe Arrow will bring one to Cedar Point. At first I thought no one but TOGO made them but now I know

Is viper at SFGAdventure a pipe line?

No. It uses those rings for structural support. Its the same ring design as TOGO's heartline rides.
