Arnolds Park latest to upgrade to energy efficient LED lighting

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

In an effort to go green, folks at Arnolds Park Amusement Park have installed about 25,000 LED turbo lights on their rides. [Ed. note: The article quotes the park as saying that energy consumption is reduced by as much as 1000%, which would imply they're creating energy. I doubt that's the case. -J]

Reduces energy consumption by 1000%? So, they're getting paid to leave their lights on?

Must have been written by the same fellow who wrote an article for the Magazine of the now-defunct Amusement Park Club International in 1980. A misplaced decimal Point in that article stated the then newly completed JUDGE ROY SCREAM cost 10 times more that it did. The Editor of that newsletter commented if a coaster cost that much was ever built he wanted to be one of the first to ride it! <LOL>
