Are you pleased what at your home park is getting?

So far my homepark, Waldameer Park, has announced it's getting 3 new shows.  It is the things Waldameer haven't announced that's getting me pumped up.

Waldameer is getting their CCI wooden coaster one way or another.  Paul Nelson said so.  If all goes according to plan, construction should start by midseason 2002 and open for 2003.  Ravine Flyer 2, the steel/wooden hybrid, will span a road twice, have a drop of about 110 feet, and a 3000+ foot long course.  And of course, being made by CCI nearly ensures the fact that this will truly be a great coaster.  This past season, the head mechanic of the park mentioned that another ride (he didn't mention what kind of ride) will be accompanying the coaster.  In the past it was mentioned that Mr. Nelson had his eyes on a free-fall ride.  Also in the past year there have been rumors of a waterpark expansion.

It doesn't matter to me what the park gets next year...I only want a solid, official announcement that Waldameer will be getting it's new coaster.  I don't care when.  Throw the coaster out of the picture, and Waldameer is indeed due for another flatride, as it has been 1999 since we got Ali-Baba and 1996 since Wipeout.  Any new thrill ride, though, should increase attendance- something that Waldameer desperately needs in order to continue operating.  I'm sure Mr. Nelson is aware that next season is crucial in that many people are not going to be travelling hundreds of miles away to another park.  A new thrill ride or waterpark expansion will defanitely be what Waldameer needs.  The full announcement should be made in a month or so.

Yet another coaster-craving yuppie

I would have to say no, but only because my "home" park is nothing to shout at (yet).  Six Flags just recently purchased Wild Waves, and we will see what the future holds in store for us.  Silverwood is too far away to claim home status, but even they aren't doing anything but adding a sky coaster.... :(

My site rocks!

I couldn't be more happy w/ SFNE's addition. I've never ridden a B&M (laugh if u must) and w/ all the hype around them I'm really looking forward to seeing what I think of them. Plus any new coaster I can ride is exciting for me. You spoiled peeps up in Ohio and Cal. you gots all da parks.

Six Flags New England loses its "floor" for 2002!!!

I DON'T KNOW WHAT MY HOME PARK IS GETTING! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!

Oh by the way, my home park is SFKK? Hear two or three things but does anyone really know???

I'm just waiting until January 20th to find out what SFA is getting, that's when the announcement will be made. Please let it be a B&M and not Viper or a ferris wheel.Stand up,Floorless I don't care  as long as it's a B&M then I'm happy.
^^You are a baby^^
my park BGW, has not announced jack! I really think its time for a new coaster..... perhaps a wooden coaster in Ireland named Banshee. ;)
There is one thing I must say about this. If you are NOT pleased, you are SPOILED! Especially if your home park is SFMM, SFGAdv, SFGAm, SFoT, CP, PKI, PKD, or just about any other park with more than 10 coasters.

It is quite annoying how people complain about what their certain home park is getting, even though it's the world's tallest and fastest certain ride. There are countless other examples of people doing simmilar things, I just hope you aren't one of them.

I for one am happy with what my home park is getting, even though I have no clue what it is. For all I care, it can be a replacement board on Viper or American Eagle, or something as simple as them cleaning the alge off of some of the water fountains.

Hi! I'm Hungry, whats your name?

I'm more than pleased with Indiana Beach's plans for 2002. There are two reasons really...CCI is making it and I've had my on theory since 1999 that Superstition Mountain would have a revamp soon. So I'm very excited about opening day, the layout seems very unique!

Check out the new http://indianabeach.8k.com/

i like yor thought Trbiggar, as long as you get somthing new you should be happy, so quit your winning Six Flags people. you have every thing!
How could I not be pleased at America's first B&M Flying coaster, only at Six Flags over Georgia.
Well, my home park SFMW has annouced nothing yet. I'm hoping for a hyper and a drop ride.

I know so much about roller coasters. Have any qustions just E-Mail me at agomez@afes.com

Well since Six Flags Great America hasn't announced if they are going to do anything next year I might as well talk about Indiana Beach since I consider that my second Home Park.  I am really pleased with what they are doing, I never really was a big fan of the old Mine ride thing they had in there as a matter of fact I can't remember the last time I rode it.  So I am really happy to hear about the new CCI for 2 years in a row.  As for Great America all they need to do to make me happy is open up the bridge by the Demon and Deja Vu!

I dont' know if my home park is getting anything new next year.My home home park is Oaks Park in Portland,Oregon.Last year, they installed 4 new flat rides, which I usually don't ride.At 42 years old,I don't tolerate spinning in small circles too well, but I can still ride coasters all day.Oaks removed my second favorite ride, the swinging ship, after the 2000 season.I would love to see them build a CCI coaster there, but I am not holding my breath.I am still watching to see if Six Flags still is going to build the coasters at Enchanted Village that were anounced prior to them purchasing the park.I have driven past this park several times(most likely on my way to the PNE to ride some wood)but have never stopped in.If and when they build some wood ,I'm there!
My home park, SFWOA has announced that they are getting absolutely nothing this year.  Of course, we just got 5 coasters and our park size doubled in 2 years so I have nothing to complain about.
Villianlover, that's not true.  They're getting some new animal attractions aren't they?

Just wait till next year!
Slow down there TrBig!
The question is "Are you pleased at what your home park is getting?" not are you pleased with the park as a whole. For example, I enjoy going to PKD but does the addition or Richocet please me? NO! I'm rather indifferent about it, that is to say, if they didnt add Ricochet, it wouldnt affect my decision to attend the park.

On the other end of the spectrum, I *am* pleased that Hershey is getting Roller Soaker. Why? Because I didnt get the chance to ride Nick FSS @ Carowinds last year and it looked like fun.

I would have gone to either park regardless of what new they got, but one addition makes me smile and other makes me shrug my shoulders.

Now only if SFA adds a bathroom and a water fountain or four...

I am very pleased about our new flyer,I just wish it was going to be bigger.
I'm cool with Ricochet. I love Wild Mice, and going opening day might reduce the threat of exessive braking....:)

I'm happy about it too. But remember, no stats have OFFICIALLY been confirmed, so the length is still under questioning. Of course the ride hasnt been officially confirmed by the park either so even though its evident its a B&M flyer, nothing about it is really known to most of us.
