Are CP and SFMM REALLY not competeing?

I'm mean look at this...

1969 Cedar point got a Mine ride...2 years later SFMM did

SFMM got Revolution...CP then got Corkscrew.

In 1978 they both got racing coasters...which tied each other for the tallest in the world.

In 1987 CP got Iron Dragon...the next year SFMM got Ninja.

In 1989 CP got Magnum....the next year SFMM got the tallest looper, Viper.

In 1991 they both got Wooden Twisters.

In 1993 SFMM got Batman the ride...Next year CP got Raptor.

In 1996 CP got Mantis...then 2 years later SFMM beat it with Riddler's Revenge.

In 2000 SFMM got Goliath, when opened was the tallest in the world...then CP open Millennium Force.

This year SFMM pulled ahead with X, Deja Vu, and Goliath Jr.

They also just got the same S&S ride.

I find this very odd, and think that SFMM and CP are very, very much competing and are woried about each other... Just look at their pasts.

Your comparison doesn't once mention the people the parks compete for. Perhaps that's because they live a few thousand miles from each other.

This is one for the tired file, I'm afraid.
