april 11 2003, double shooting at PKD.

4/11/03 well yeah its not surprise, Im black and im saying this. Its was black college day at kings dominion. Somebody probally got beef with someone and shot them in the parking lot. They only got shot in the sholder or something so they are fine. This happened after the park closed. Time of shooting was 9:30.

Last year crowd of people ran cause somebody pulled a gun. Reason gun was inside of park with metal detectors. . . It was a freaking celebrity, i doubt they go through the detectors, this was (not a rapper either) pharrel from neptunes produced beats for britney spears- slave 4 u, justin timberlake, and clipse(i know u aint heard of them lol).

The injured person isn't "fine" according to the press.

I frankly don't understand what being black has to do with anything.

This is just plain terrible. People take a break from a stressful colloge life and go to a park, but now we have to worry about being shot. I wonder what he altercation was about anyway?

BTW Im white and Ive heard of Clipse. Im confused though. Are you saying Pharrel pulled a gun in PKD last year?

I remember staying down in Daytona for a week during Spring Break back in 96. Way wanted to stay another day longer, so we went to the front office to tack on another day and it was an extra 80 dollars more then normal. I asked why and they said it that black college spring break starts today. The hotels in the area jack up the prices during that time to lure away people who want to cause trouble. (if that makes sense) It was a bit rowdy as usual and one person did get shot I guess the next day.

Being black has nothing to do with it. Its all on how your brought up and where you grow up.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

Okay, i had just got off work when i made this post, i was not really thinking cause i was tired. I was making a attempt to point out unfornately black college day at PKD can get a lil bit rowdy. My views would have changed this year if this had not happened cause it was not as rowdy this year until the shooting. I pointed out my being black as a no holds barred opinion from a black person himself and black friends who have discussed it. But now thinking, it did not have to be black college day, it could have been a regular college day "or" just a normal day at the park. But truth be told, more thugs appear at the park than normally on this event. oh and about the injuries, on the news all the facts were not in right at the moment. They said sholder and arm. Sorry if I offended anyone. (oh, alot of people their last year said pharrell did pull a gun, but u know how the rumors start, but my cousin was around the immediate area of affect last year. . ,yeah someone pulled a gun, if not pharrel like alot people say, someone else, but it was a gun)

Senseless murderers come in every race, age, height, weight, gender and variety there can possibly be....from Mafioso to wannabe gangstas to suicide bombers. Perhaps more regrettable than the fact this tragedy happened is the truth that it's nothing new.
