Applause after coaster ride

Ive Only clapped once and it Was June 24 @ SFNE. Superman was down most of the day and our train was train # 3 out of the station after it being fixed and I had my best ride on that coaster and everyone was clapping and of course so did I.

I clap if I get really great airtime; if I don't, I don't clap.

I don't clap much, but I like to woo or when I reach the brakerun I'm laughing with how much fun the ride was. But I find wherever I go nobody claps, not for any ride. Maybe I'm just there at the wrong time, I'm sure there's tons of clapping at ACE events.

I think thats a good question, why do people clap? Who are they clapping twards? I dont understand why people clap at the movies, who are they clapping to? The projectionist? The snack stand employee? Well i dont get it and i dont clap

If a ride's really good I just do it out of habit. Like when I hit that double down on the Jack Rabbit, I started a little hoot clap spontaneously... it usually isn't premeditated. If someone hoots in joy on a ride, I don't think they are hooting towards anyone, it's just a response... like clapping.

Hons213, I have to admit I agree with you. I am not dogging the people who DO clap, but it seems odds to me. I also think it is goofy to clap at the end of a movie, because unless you are in a premiere with the actors, writers, directors and crew in the auditorium with you, it just seems kind of pointless. The cast and crew of the movies aren't hearing you, and unless you think the projectionist has done some outstanding job with making sure the volume is sufficient, or the movie is bright enough, than I think it is sort of silly.

I clap after al most all my rides on the wonderful contraptions at my beloved BGW. alpie was running great yestrday! (7-4-2002)

That only happened to me once in the morning on Ghostrider... I think it sorta wears down as the day goes on and eventually nobody claps anymore

Most of the time at the beast at night there is always people cheering even before they get on the ride. There is a really godd ride op there most of the time wo gets it goin so that the people waiting and the people in the train clap. I always like it on the last ride of the beast almost always i or someone else starts chanting 1 more time. We never get to go again but its fun any way.
