Anything on Whalom Park?

I'm assuming that no news means no news, but just incase someone heard something...

Is there any word on whether or not Whalom Park will open for the 2002 season?  Or are the park's owners still looking for financial answers, leaving enthusiasts without the Flyer Comet for another summer?

I never got to go to the park, I hope it opens next summer. Im only about 2 hours away from it too.
I hope they reopen. There aren't too many PTCs left :(

I pray that I will never see a Six Flags Conneaut Lake
Various items from the storage sheds keep showing up on eBay. The trades have been quiet about Whalom's status so far. My gut instinct is that the Bowen family is trying desparetely to find sypathetic investors. Since they are no longer the majority owners of the park they are more than likely encountering some reluctance on the part of prospective investors. It wouldn't surprise me to see "Another Norton of Michigan Auction" advertised in AB ,sealing the fate of yet another park to satisfy the demands of skittish bankers.
That's sad. If they are desaperate enough to start selling things on Ebay, I don't see much of a future for it:(
