anything new from Premier??

Does anybody know if those guys are working on any new coaster designs? We are all familiar with their spaghetti bowls and Mr Freeze, both in my top 10 list. But are they working on any completely new designs? Faster launching coasters?

Werner Stengel and Premier has designed a pretty intresting coaster idea together. I found it on a patent site, can't remember the address right now but if i find it i'll post it or if someone else find it.

Well it's a LIM launched coaster and everything looks normal till you see the tower or towers. Like on Mr. Freeze you're going up on a vertical spike till some brakes holds the train still. And then the tower rotates like a vertical revolver and when the track has connected with another track the brakes let the train go for a few seconds of freefall and the ride continues on. The tower has 4 sides with tracks so the train goes up the tower again after some turns, maybe a loop, for the same procedure.

The layout pics and the towers looked pretty exciting so i hope it'll be built sometime in a near future and not too far away from me ;)

There are several CAD images of this concept in Klaus Shutzmansky's book on Werner Stengel.

That certainly sounds fun. I'd really like to see more from this company, they've already built some great rides.

That doesn't sound like it would work olov.

I bet it can be done but at a large price to revolve the trains.

Steel: 1)MF, 2)Goliath, 3)Magnum
Wood: 1)Villain, 2)Beast, 3)Roar(SFMW)

Unfortunately wouldn't a double station be necisarry(sp?) for that type of ride? I mean the capacity would be terrible not to mention a MAJOR dead spot is inevitable on that ride.

I searched on the patent office database and here's the drawings i tried to explain. http://l2.espacenet.com/espacenet/viewer?PN=EP1184062&CY=gb&LG=en&DB=EPD

Not too complicated, is it? But not all coaster ideas has become true as we know, just search on that database and you'll find some intresting things, but i hope someone would build it someday...
