Anything new for SFAW in the future?...

I want to hear some real ideas about what could possibly be entering SFAW in the next few years to maybe spruce it up, perhaps a new ride in a couple of years, but actual ideas...an Intamin hyper will NOT fit!, etc.

Long live Six Flags Astroworld!! Ok, you can all laugh now...

Just get Texas Twister back up and running!!!

Raging Bull= 107

You mean (taz) Texas Tornado

Im the #1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!!These are my top 3 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Cyclone/B:TDK

I actually don't miss the Texas Tornado one bit since it's been down. It was, after all, a consolation prize for losing Mr. Freeze to Six Flags Over Texas, whom I despise when it comes to home park loyalty. They get Mr. Freeze, we get a 1986 traveling coaster (that doesn't feel too good by the way, in my opinion). They get Batman: The Ride in 1999, we get Serial Thriller, an SLC. They get Titan in 2001, we get zip.

Actually MikeMir, after the 1998 season they changed the name from Taz's Texas Tornado to just Texas Tornado.

WTF? First, is there really any proof that Mr Freeze was headed to Astroworld? Second, I would be more than happy to have Tornado at OT. In fact, I think I would rather have it than Freeze or Batman (hey, it is a Schwarzkopf).

...

Well AstroWorld could be in for a real treat. How about a 170 foot monster that will take riders upside down 7 times at speeds of up to 65 miles per hour! ;)

We're not getting Shockwave!!!!

The Shy One: fine, you may say you'd rather have Texas Tornado as opposed to Mr. Freeze, but can you honestly say you'd rather have Serial Thriller as opposed to Batman: The Ride? My point has been proven.

re: Taz.....is a coaster that never runs really a coaster at all....I think if you can't ride it, it's just an eyesore....(seen: CI Thunderbolt, Drachen Fire, WindJammer)....it absolutely "plain sucks" to see a coaster SBNO.....

Once they pull off those lousey restraints on Tornado and refit it with lap bars, it will be up and running again. The park just doesn't seem to realize that.

I am willing to bet Texas Tornado does open next season. AND yes, Mr. Freeze was supposed to go to Astroworld. After the Investors at SFOT complained, it was moved to appease them.

I remain convinced that Cheetah was supposed to go to SFAW....but hey, it's the only CCI closer than KY, so I'm glad we got it....nyah...;)

Rollergator, I believe your right! The first of 2 CCI coasters that Astroworld did not get.......

If I didn't live here and see it with my own eyes, there would be no way I would believe it. It is amazing.

What have the Numbers this year looked like at AW?

They are down from last year from what I understand.

Well, when the main attraction to pull in people is an SLC, what do you expect??
