Anything happening in the Pacific Northwest?

Hey y'all,

It's been ages since I've had to time to keep up with life here. I got distracted by unimportant things like having a job and whatnot.

Anyway, Saturday afternoon, I had the pleasure of catching a glimpse of Coaster at Puyallup Fair, near Seattle, *and* a commercial for Silverwood. That right there was more coaster action than I've seen since October 2003.

So, what's what? Is there anything remotely special happenings in the Pacific Northwest this season -- an event or a trip or something that'll make me remember why I used to drive hundreds of miles in all directions in pursuit of these things?

Hey Maddie! You should go to Matthew's event. You'll be very glad you did. Besides, you need to go back to Idaho. The dry, boring central Washington drive misses you. ;)

Oh, that figures -- I was trying to plan a trip to Disneyland in late September. I guess that I can easily plan Disneyland for some other time and such and make the great trek eastward to Idaho.

And Rob -- no matter how much eastern Washington misses me, I don't miss it. Is it possible to get a restraining order on a piece of geography?

Don't mean to thread hijack---but is there any airport near Silverwood that might have cheap (Southwest, Jet Blue) flights? I've always wanted to get to this park, but I doubt I'll ever just be driving through.

^Spokane Int. is your best bet. Southwest does flights in. You might want to check Priceline, or talk to Captains Travel network. Speak to Nikki. She hooks me up everytime. :)

There is that airstrip behind Silverwood. Maybe if you slip your Southwest pilot a $20 bill, they'll provide door to door service.
