I saw it about a month before it opened, does that count?

I heard it's pretty rough but with an intense launch, fairly similar to Hypersonic XLC with just a faster launch. Haven't been on it though, so don't rely on what I've heard.
Never been on it, but I've heard some really crummy reviews.

Chris said it was psychotic, in a good way, but I do remember him saying that anyone remotely unhealthy would probably die during the launch. I wouldn't doubt it, either. ;)

I have, I was stationed over seas with the Navy, for years, and got to ride it. The launch is very very intense and is a little rough but nothing you cant handle. And yes, it is much faster the XLC, having been riding both you can easily tell. The setting of it is a real crowd pleaser, many phtographers were there when I rode it because of Mt. Fuji in the Background. The ride usually dosn't have a long line because the only japanese theme park that really gets crowded is Laqua and Tokyo Disney. The longest i've ever had to wait for Dodonpa is about 10 minutes. It's over all a great ride.

Ironically, I have never seen a picture of Dodonpa with Mt. Fuji in the background.
Not even a "general park picture" with the mountain.

Weird.

Well then, here you go:

I could have swore that I've seen a great shot of Fujiyama with Mt. Fuji in the background, I just don't remember where I saw it.

Yeah is Good!
I have never been to Japan, but G-Force Dragster in FL has a similar launch. It was very intense but not undoable or anything.
