Not that I am planning on making it to Georgia in the near future (I wish!), but I was wondering how many enthusiasts had the chance to get to Wild Adventures to ride their new CCI woodie. From what I saw, it looked like it had a great out-and-back layout (actually, kinda inspired by Silverwood's Timber Terror if you ask me), and I was curious to hear what people thought of it?
I rode it last week and it was pretty fun. Some are like a woody should be.The ride ops don't check the height of your lap bar so you can leave it up alot if you wanted.
Just rode it on July 29th. Great ride! I don't claim to be big on woodies, but this is the best one I've been on yet. Built for airtime with all the hills and the end is a big figure 8 where you're still moving very quickly into the holding brake.
Plus, Wild Adventures is never crowded. The day we went Pat Benatar was doing a show there and all I heard all day was how crowded the park was. The thing is we never waited more than 2 or 3 trains for any coaster in the park, Cheetah included. If this was crowded to the regulars, I'd have loved to see it not crowded, everything would've been a walk-on!
Cheetah is the best woodie I've been on.
Definately going to have to make my way there in the very near future... Haven't been since May, 2000, but still looking forward to it. I just wish the park were better designed, oh well. Give it time, I suppose.
Cheeta is great deffinately make the trip you could easily get 10-20 rides in a short time due to the lines at WA.
------------- #1 Steel-Titan #1 Wood--Cheeta
Cheetah has good air on the front end, nice heavy G's near the end of the ride. I loved the high-speed turnaround on the end of the out-and-back portion. It's a little short, but very fun and maintains speed well. If you're an ACE member, look for my article in RC! magazine.
------------- rollergator - intent on improving the "guest experience" - coming soon to a park near you

I'm very much looking forward to it!
The lines were 15 minutes at some points on a Saturday a week ago.
